You’re the Temple!
2 Words in 1
I Forgive YOU!
When people are brutalized as children, they find it hard to forgive when they’ve not been raised with forgiveness models.
So it may take them longer even if they come to Christ, to forgive others. After all, forgiveness is a process.
It’s not just about saying, “Oh I forgive you!” because you can say “I forgive you” with your mouth, but not mean it in your heart.
The mind and heart still have to process forgiveness, even if you spiritually are obedient and say “I forgive,” or “I choose to forgive,” it may take longer for that process to be complete in your mind and heart.
What is even sadder is that it’s even harder to forgive yourself, because usually the person doing the abusing to a little kid is threatening, and even blames the child, so the little child grows up believing that they are at fault for the abuse that happened. (Also true for neglect.)
It makes it hard to trust God, even though they’re trying with all they’re their might to do so. And it makes it hard to trust others except little by little.
So we find people in the church who are at varying levels of healing because that too is process.
Be kind as you can but we all fail as it says in James. So we need to be patient with one another, but honest and loving enough to also correct.
A loving parent corrects. Those who don’t are not loving but moving in fear or apathy.
“For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well,” James 3:2 NAS.
“So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God,” James 1:19-20 NKJV.
You are The Temple!
“Lift your eyes up to the mountains. Where does your help come from?”
Humble yourselves as David did and I will restore you, and I will give you the NATIONS as your inheritance.
For I AM coming with such power as has never been seen before.
I will lay waste the enemy.
Stand up My warriors! Do not be afraid!
The LORD Your God is with you. He Who is mighty is in your midst.
Arise and shine for Your light has come. You shall shine like the stars in the heavens! Many will be turned to the brightness of My Glory.
I AM rising with HEALING in My wings. Ask and it shall be given unto you — pray for miracles!
Pray for miracles! Believe and you will receive! For the LORD will SUDDENLY come into His Temple, and YOU ARE THAT TEMPLE!”
