Your Vats Will Overflow With New Wine
Last week there was a winery in Spain that had a massive tank eruption. I watched the actual video of 50,000 liters of red wine gushing out into the streets like a tsunami.
This river of wine flowed out around tractors and cars, and into a nearby field. One man who witnessed it said that it was like a breached dam. I could only imagine the aroma of that wine as it filled the air.
As I was watching this video The LORD brought this scripture to me that was prophesied in Joel 2 and repeated in Acts 2 which says: “I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh…”
In Joel 2:24 the scripture goes on to say: “The vats shall overflow with new wine and oil...”
Throughout the scriptures wine is an allegory of the Holy Spirit.
In the Song of Solomon there is a story about a bride and her bride groom which is an allegory of Jesus and the bride of Christ. Chapter 2 verse 4 speaks of a dialogue between the shepherd King and the Shulamite woman (as the bride) He invites her to a banqueting table. This word is translated in the original Hebrew context as “House of Wine’ or “Wine cellar”
For some time now we have heard reputable prophetic voices prophesying that a great outpouring was coming across this nation and around the world.
Many of you are beginning to doubt that word and have become bewildered by the chaos and anarchy that we are experiencing in this nation.
Spiritual warfare may be at an all-time high but The LORD is saying: “Just as I promised I AM about to pour out My New Wine in abundance. The wine press is full and it is about to release torrents of fresh wine. This is a fine wine but a costly wine.”
In three of the gospels Jesus speaks a parable saying that new wine requires new wineskins. A wineskin serves the purpose of preserving, distributing and being a container of the new wine.
Jesus is looking for vessels that He could use to distribute this new wine. He is requiring the bride of Christ to have a new wineskin to hold this holy wine.
Old wineskins must go through a process to become pliable. If they are brittle or damaged they cannot be a carrier or dispenser of the new wine. Our old mindsets must be renewed to hold this valuable wine of the Holy Spirit.
You may be experiencing trials like Job but don’t lose your focus because there is a great outpouring on the horizon. There is a distinctive scent, an earthy, pleasant smell which is produced from the ground before it rains.
This is called a petrichor. Those of you who are spiritually discerning could smell the scent of this fresh new wine in the atmosphere about to be released.
The LORD is sending a geyser of refreshing to those of you who say, “the adversity is more than I could bear”.
The book of Proverbs 3:10 says your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine!
Stay strong, faithful and pliable so that you could be a vessel to be used in this new wine outpouring in the days ahead
“Then your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will be bursting with new wine,” Proverbs 3:10 (ESV).
“Suddenly, he transported me into his house of wine — he looked upon me with his unrelenting love divine,” Song of Solomon 2:4 (TPT).
“The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil,” Joel 2:24.
“No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; or else the new piece pulls away from the old, and the tear is made worse. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins,” Mark 2:21-22.
Blessings in Christ Jesus,
