God does not waste your time. He honors you and the time you spend with Him.

Look at how God’s people spent their time in Joshua 6:12-13:

“Joshua got up early the next morning and the priests took up The Ark of The LORD. The seven priests carrying the seven trumpets went forward, marching before The Ark of The LORD and blowing the trumpets. The armed men went ahead of them and the rear guard followed The Ark of The LORD, while the trumpets kept sounding.”

Here you see two things.

1) Joshua got up early.

2) The priests and military marched around a city.

Sleeping in and sitting down is easy, but waking up early and marching is a whole different story.

It requires time and effort.

And Joshua and the Israelite did not do this, because it was fun, but because they were honoring God.

They took time out of their lives to obey God.

But as they did so, the walls of Jericho did not fall.

For six days, Joshua and his men woke up early, blew their trumpets, and tiredly marched around a city for nothing to happen.

However, on the seventh day, God rewarded the time they put in and the city walls crashed.

Victory was theirs.

God rewarded the Israelites and He will reward you too.

He sees you putting in the time and effort to know Him and be with Him.

He sees you rewarding Christian articles, flipping the pages of your Bible, singing worship songs in the shower, and praying before a meal.

God sees that and He loves that.

All that you do or think that involves Him, He is well pleased.

God will reward you for your time and effort you put in to be with Him.

The Holy Spirit adds: “My Sons and My Daughters — listen closely for what I AM about to say is important. I want to be with you and I want you to be with Me… All the time for I love you greatly.

I enjoy your presence and even your thoughts about Me.

You don’t have to be perfect, you just have to be with Me.

Now come to Me, because I love your voice and your praises.”
