From 2010. It seems that things haven’t changed much in the last six years…

 

I know that this Word will cause some to perhaps rise up and get angry and to wonder.

However, I truly believe that we as a nation need to turn from our present course of mocking and degrading others, to find what we share in common as believers. Otherwise, truly, a gulf will widen between some of us and prevent us from being united.

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour,” 1 Timothy 2:1-3.

“There are so many people today who are torn between two extremes. There are beginning to be two camps of Christians.

Some are so preoccupied with things that they declare their party so much that it is producing hate because of their political views.

I tell you that you see these views on your TV screen. For they mock and degrade those who are in office. They twist the truth and promote their own agendas.

Have I not said that you are to pray for those who are in office for your country?

I tell you that a great gulf is opening. A great chasm is developing, and a separation will occur.

For in this way you will see your nation separated. For the chasm will separate believers. It is not that you would be a Republican or a Democrat.

For your political views have replaced your faith. You say in your heart that if a man or a woman does not take the stance that I do then they must not be a Christian.

I tell you that you have become a party of hypocrites! You have become as the Pharisees.

I tell you that your nation is no longer united. For what do you share in common? What is the underlying thing that you share in common?

Learn to get your facts straight about what is happening. Learn to turn your TV set off. I tell you that a civil war will develop if you don’t turn from your present mindset.

I set men in charge. I set up kings and I also tear them down. But you have whispered your heart as the enemy does. I tell you that the enemy is happy about these things. If he can separate my bride then his schemes are working.

But if you turn from these things, and rather, turn to me, then I will cause your eyes to see as I see.”
