Your Faith Is Louder Than The Wooing Of The Devil!
I had a dream that was from the Lord the other night. We have been praying for our community about the many OD”s and suicides from Drug addiction for many years. I know this is not an isolated problem for sure but there seems to be a huge stronghold in our city here in Indiana.
I was sleeping in an almost awakened state but in that between stage. I know many of you know what I am saying so at those times sometimes we can not tell if we are having a dream or a vision although both of those are in the seer realm. Anyway, I dreamed or had a vision of drugs that looked like they were in Pill form and there was a woman in on the other side of me. All at once the pill formed lips and what looked like eyes on antenna like stems. These were like you see on some insects. Ewwah!!
Suddenly the pill spoke and said, “We called her name and she took us.” Then as I saw how this worked. It was as we sometimes say, “That candy or that pair of shoes has my name on it.” It causes our mind to begin to think about it and then we act upon it.
Then the Lord spoke and said, “This is a strategy to “Silence that voice!” Then He said, “Cut off the seductive voice of the drugs and there will be no temptation for them”
There are strategies in the word to silence the voice of the enemy. The first one is Worship. Psalm 8:2 says,
“Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants you have ordained strength, because of Your enemies, that You may silence the enemy and the avenger.”
Worshiping drives the enemy out because he can not stand for us to sing our faith or speak out about our trust in who our God is! You see as we sing and worship in our homes around those that are prey to the enemy the atmosphere changes and those that come around us run into this atmosphere and sense that it is a greater high than any high that they might be tempted to enter into.
My mother use to sing worship songs in our home all the time. She sang so much that my friends would ask me why she just sang everything? It was an atmosphere of peace that she ushered in and when I got out into the drug world the Lord would always remind me of that peaceful place when things got too crazy it would woo me back to that place of rest and peace and that is where I would go when I was in fear about my life! It kept me from going too far away from the Lord and taking certain drugs that I knew could possibly kill me. You see it silenced that voice that had my name on it! Her Worship and her speaking the word silenced the voice of the spirit that was behind those drugs.
The second way to silence the voice is by speaking God’s word “It is written….”
When Jesus was drawn by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tested, the enemy came to tempt Him while He was being tested to do things his way, again the voice of temptation had Jesus name on it but Jesus always came back with “It is written!” His voice of faith silenced the voice of temptation!
You see, we can speak the word and silence that voice! The word says that the enemy left Him for a season as Jesus spoke that word and didn’t back down or give in. When we or our children or our children’s children are going through a season of testing we must rise up and silence that voice by speaking God”s word and as we speak it we must stand on it until the enemy has to shut his mouth all the while we advance into the next season! This is what it means to go from glory to glory! After Jesus passed this test it says that He came out in the Power of the Spirit, glory to God!
“And Jesus answering said unto him, ‘It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.’ And having finished all temptation, the devil departed from him for a season. And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and his fame went out through all the region round about” Luke 4:12-14 (JUB).
You see if we use the word it will silence his voice in our season of temptation! Glory to God!
Yes these seductive spirits have a voice and they speak our name and beckon us to take them in whatever form that they come to us in, but faith also has a voice and it comes in the form of us speaking or singing it through our praise and worship or through simply saying His word. Yes Faith has a voice and as we speak and sing it, it will cause even more faith to come to us and finally what use to tempt us is silenced and as we resist the devil he has to flee!
So as we are praying for those in our life who are receiving another voice other than that of the Lord! Remember we have the weapons to quench ever fiery dart of the devil! It is the shield of faith being spoken or sung out louder than your enemy! Yes, speak it when you are praying for your children! Shout it in song over them, all the while letting the enemy know that you have a voice too and that he is not going to have your children, that the drugs may be calling their name but God’s voice through you is more powerful than anything that the enemy has ever dared spoken to the children of the covenant! Then when that drug or that alcohol or that thing or even that person, whatever it is or whoever it may be speaks to them, then the voice that they have heard over the years, the voice of truth will always drown out that voice of darkness! Glory to God!

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
