Your Church: a harlot or a Bride?
2 Words in 1
A True Prophet
A true Prophet prophesies against shepherds who feed themselves and not the sheep. Those who fleece the wool off of the sheep, through covetousness, greed and extreme merchandising.
Let the true Prophets arise and uproot the sin and iniquity in the House of God.
“Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to those shepherds, Thus says the Lord God: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock?” Ezekiel 34:2.
Your Church: a harlot or a Bride?
Is your Church an entity or a living organism? A well oiled machine, or a group of living stones, joined together by the Spirit of God, to be a Holy habitation unto Him?
Is it a den of thieves through merchandising, or is it a House of Prayer for all nations?
Is it a Clergy laity system? Or is a spiritual priesthood of believers with anointed ministries, gifted leaders, who lay down their lives in service to the body of Christ and do not esteem themselves more highly then the least in their midst?
Is it a one man show, or does have a plurality of leadership with a mature senior leader, but the leaders wait before the Lord together, for divine direction?
Is it built upon the foundation of a Pastor, or upon the foundation of Apostles and Prophets as the scriptures declares?
Does it claim to be an independent local Church, or does it acknowledge that there is only one local Church in a locality, based on the fact that every born-again believer in that locality is part of the local church, even though they may gather in a thousand different locations with different teaching elders?
Does your leader have a vision that is building his own private Kingdom, or is he working toward the establishing and advancement of the Kingdom of God in your City and region?
Is he or she willing to get together with other leaders and seek God and pray and promote City wide gatherings of believers at times?
Is there a body ministry being established, or is your Church a family run business with the husband wife or children being the only ones who ever see the pulpit, along with celebrities brought in to bring a crowd in and entertain them for the sake of getting and splitting large offerings?
These are good questions and they may help you determine whether you are in a church that is leaning more towards being a harlot, than a Bride.
