You Would Do This for Me?
Something profound takes place in the soul of a person when they know “they matter”, when they know they are prized.
It changes them. There is no longer any room for fear in the relationship.
They know they are loved, and it stirs a desire to give love in return.
Someone who is rescued has a deep and profound gratitude to the rescuer. “You would do this for me? ME?”
God cannot be stopped.
Humans must be worth a great deal to him. An unfathomable worth. And that is why… the soul felt its worth.
It was drawn to the gift. The Hope. That life matters. They were wanted, loved by something, Someone… far more gracious than the weary world they lived in.
“This nativity had an object in mind. That object is you and me,” ~ John Eldredge
O holy night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
‘Til He appear’d and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees!
O, hear the angels’ voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born;
O night divine, O night, O night Divine.
YOU MATTER… so very much.
In His Shadow,
