You Will Find That Open Door!

Come Up Higher!
I keep hearing The LORD say tonight, “Come up higher!”
Hear the sound! Hear the Clarion Call!
He is handcuffing the enemy and his plans in this season and wants you to rise above.
See from a Heavenly perspective! Come up higher, deep is calling to the deep! The Throne Room has been filled with the fragrance of your prayers!
The attention of Heaven is fixed upon you!
My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me” and my heart responds “LORD, I am coming.”
Old Wineskin
Saul dressed David in his tunic, armor, and helmet to prepare him to meet Goliath.
As I thought about this I heard The LORD say, “Old Wineskin….”
Feeling the pressure of Goliath, Saul had immediately reverted back to what was comfortable and familiar for him.
This was how he had defeated his enemies in the past. It may have served him well in the past for his defense, but God was doing a NEW THING then, and He is doing a NEW THING now.
I am sure David may have felt that the King would clothe him with his very own armor as honored!
As he walked around in Saul’s armor, it didn’t take him long to realize that this would not work for him. It was not meant for him to wear!
As we advance forward in this season, let us be open to hear and step into the battle plans that The LORD gives to us.
Refuse to wear Saul’s armor to come against the enemies. There will be situations where others attempt to place Saul’s armor on us, or we may be tempted to revert back to that armor ourselves as it just more familiar.
Saul’s armor may often feel the most convenient, and the most comfortable, but it will never produce the grace and breakthrough that obedience to the Spirit of God will bring.
The LORD is saying, “I have given you everything you need to fight the battles around you, and as you seek Me, I will reveal My Battle Plans and strategies for each battle you face.
Refuse to wear Saul’s armor! It was not by the sword or the spear that David would defeat His enemies, but by My Spirit that was with him.
So, as it is with each of you!”
Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head. David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them.
“I cannot go in these,” he said to Saul, “because I am not used to them.” So he took them off. Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd’s bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine. (1 Samuel 17:32-40)
You Will Find That Open Door!
“Why do you complain, Jacob? Why do you say Israel, ‘My way is hidden from The LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God’? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.” Isaiah 40:27-28.
I love how God just cuts right to the heart of the matter when He focused on the two lies they were believing.
They had grown weary in their waiting, they believed their way was hidden from The LORD, and their cause was completely disregarded by Him.
The Passion Translation puts it like this,
“Yahweh isn’t paying attention to my situation. He has lost all interest in what happens to me.” Isaiah 40:27.
If you are resonating with these words then take heart, for the same keys that God shared with Jacob and Israel are just as relevant for you today.
“Do you not know?” and “Have you not heard?”
Do you not know?
The LORD is challenging you to focus on what you KNOW to be true.
Recount his many times of faithfulness in your lives and let your faith begin to rise up again as we remember just who He is.
It is in the remembering of what we know and who our God is, that the coals of our Faith burns intensely.
Your Faith moves Heaven on your behalf!
Have you not heard?
Romans 10:17 tells us “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”
Our Faith rests in what we have heard God say. Our Faith cannot rest in what we wish He was saying or even in what He has said to someone else.
We need to have our own faith journey where we hear God for ourselves.
We are told in Matthew 4:4, “Man cannot live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
His words to us are Spirit and they are life!
The Passion Translation says in Matthew 7:8,
“For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door.”
The LORD your God is not wasting your wait!
You may not see it, you may not be feeling it, but He is working in your midst. He is concerned with everything that is going on around you.
One day soon you will find that Open Door!
