You Shall Recover All!
Do not be deceived by religious minded people in this world, who will try to tell you that once you lay your life down for Jesus, you will never have any battles.
This is completely opposite of the truth!
Look unto Jesus and the many battles all His true disciples had and went through, in fulfilling their true purposes, especially coming from those of the Pharisees, the religious minded who could not even discern who He was, or His purpose for God bringing Him to this earth.
The Apostle Paul teaches us in 2 Timothy 4:5, “but watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry and to endure hardness as a good soldier.”
Jesus is your mighty Captain, leading you and many others through the battlefields of life. You shall overcome every enemy that has fought you, or come against you in any way, and even those wicked ones used of the enemy.
You shall recover all, just as David did, because the King of Glory is on the inside of you and greater is He who is in you, than he that is in the world, or the deceived religious minded ones.
The truth is, you will fight many battles. The truth is, you will gain more territory as you go forth with the armies of heaven and Jesus himself as your captain going before you.
You shall have victory after victory because He is with you and in you like a mighty warrior. He will always cause us to triumph through and by Christ Jesus our Lord.
You will face much opposition and have those behind you trying to stab at you, bringing forth strange fire against you as you go forth, trying to hinder you, just as the great men of old did and just as Jesus and all his disciples did.
But they did not stop them, nor prevail against them, and they will not stop or prevail against you either, because He is with you to deliver you.
Keep moving forward, following Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. Do not stop for a moment to look behind you, because you are not going that way.
Let the dead bury the dead. Continue to take up your cross and follow Jesus daily. With each and every battle you will recover all and great shall be your portion and spoil as you go forth.
You will fulfill every purpose to which you were sent and assigned, even as Jesus did and all the disciples and great men of the old testament did.
Yes, they fought many battles and yes, many of the religious minded Pharisees and Saducees came against them. But they did not prevail or stop them from fulfilling their purposes for which they were sent!
So be of good cheer saints and know that the proof you are headed in the right direction is the opposition you will face.
It is a true sign that you are one of His and you are truly following Him.
Read the below scriptures and how David handled the strange fire that was coming against him and see how God got all the glory from this battle.
The truth is you will face opposition but, you shall recover all!
“And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire; and had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.
So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives. Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep. And David’s two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, PURSUE: FOR THOU SHALL SURLY OVERTAKE THEM, AND WITHOUT FAIL RECOVER ALL! So David went, he and the six hundred men that were with him, and came to the brook Besor, where those that were left behind stayed. But David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor.
And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water; and they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights. And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick. We made an invasion upon the south of the Cherethites, and upon the coast which belongeth to Judah, and upon the south of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.
And David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to this company? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will bring thee down to this company. And when he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah. And David smote them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save four hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled.”
And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives. And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: DAVID RECOVERED ALL! And David took all the flocks and the herds, which they drave before those other cattle, and said, THIS IS DAVID’S SPOIL,” 1 Samuel 30:1-20
