Press On and Press In!
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen,” 2 Peter 3:18.
Let us today ask the Holy Spirit to set us right in word, thought and deed in order that we may accomplish that which the Father has called us to do and also that His will and purpose for our lives will be fulfilled.
It is expedient that we allow the work of the Holy Spirit to be done in us that we may grow more in Christ, in purity and all godliness becoming spiritually mature – putting of the old man, daily dying to self, casting off vain thoughts and imaginations, man made doctrines and receive the truth..
Let us also seek to be steadfast in faith and virtue.
The will of ABBA Father must be done in us!
If we ought to exude real power and dominion, if we ought to occupy till He comes as His children and heirs of salvation it is vitally important that we grow and learn.
Where there’s no growth, that is a sure sign of stagnation, if you’re not growing you’re backsliding.
We have to press on and press in!
In this season The Holy Spirit has been calling us to a higher place, the place of knowledge of Him and of Christ, to come out of ignorance.
A higher place of revelation.
Theatrics and Hollywood Style
I recently watched the news and saw how much the war in Syria is taking on new levels and children seem to be the ones bombarded with the effects of it.
Sometimes we complain about simple things we face in life, when there are people in the world, battling to stay alive.
Some issues are mere distractions to get us to take our focus off God and what we’re called to do.
That’s the plan of the adversary, to wear us out with pressure and the cares of life and many people wilt under that pressure.
But I pray today someone, that you put on strength, the armour of God.
As ministers, I wanna talk to us.
We ought to purpose a complete dedication, devoting ourselves to Christ and others.
When the disciples of Yeshua failed to deliver a lunatic boy from demonic oppression they sought the LORD for an answer and His reply was, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I suffer with you? Bring him to me,” Matthew 17:17.
We all too easily want to give up when things don’t seem to be working out.
“Faithless” meaning here unfaithful or unsteadfast, not committed to completing a task.
We most times are interested in other things than the Kingdom. LORD help us.
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the LORD,” 1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV).
Another thing griping and crippling the Body of Christ is this vain glory and competition, who is lesser? and who is greater?, all striving to be more than the other.
No wonder there is no power demonstrated, only theatrics and Hollywood style preaching.
Instead of focus on being blameless, loving, compassionate and bearing each others burdens, praying and fasting, hardship and sacrifice all most focus to are blessings and benefits.
LORD help us.
Shalom
