You Must Be Born Again!
“For as many as are led by the Spirit they are the true sons/daughters of God.” Romans 8:14
We are not to be led by what our feelings or emotions are for the day, nor are we to be led by our fleshly will and the desires of the flesh.
As true Born Again Christians, we are told to crucify that nature and it’s carnal lusts and desires, by being led by the Spirit of God daily.
While we are in the flesh nature and fulfilling it’s desires, The Bible says we will never please God there!
“So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:8
“And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” Galatians 5:24
“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; (Meaning your own desires) but, they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.” (Meaning what the Spirit desires and wills them to do). For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity (opposed or hostile) against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:5-8
Jesus said these Words I speak. They are Spirit, and they are life!
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63
So, if we obey The Word of God daily, then we are being led daily by His Spirit/ Word and therefore we cannot do the things we normally would do the bible is clear about this.
“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. (meaning grace is not a free pass card to willful live in the flesh and fulfill it’s sinful, selfish desires) For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.”
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” Galatians 5:13-17
Our flesh nature always wants to do what it wants to do, and according to Scripture,. it is contrary to the Spirit — meaning it always wants to do the opposite of what The Holy Spirit would want us to do, and this is why we do need to crucify it daily as The Bible tells us to do.
“And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” Galatians 5:24
How do we do that?
The only way to do that is by doing what The Bible tells us to do, rather than what we want or feel to do.
This is how we crucify the flesh nature and the only way that this can be accomplished is by obedience to The Word.
This is why The Bible says, “obedience is better than a sacrifice,” [1 Samuel 15:2] here and there.
God wants fruit that remains in us everyday. Not a good deed here and there — He wants us to be true Christians every day!
“But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.” 1 John 2:5
This is how The Bible says His Love is perfected in us, and how we can grow spiritually and develop and mature in His Divine Nature, Fruits, and Attributes of His divine Spirit.
“No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.” 1 John 4:12
The Bible teaches us that if we obey His Spirit/ Word, then we are fulfilling The Law of Love within us, and crucifying that evil, selfish, sinful, nature that we was all born with, that always wants it’s will, and it’s way.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” (Our neighbor is anyone God places in our paths and lives.) (Galatians 5:14)
Jesus explains to the lawyer who was trying to tempt him with his question by asking who is your neighbor?
“And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? How readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, and went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.” Luke 10:25-37
That flesh nature that is always contrary to The Word of God — and is not subject to The Law of God — The Bible says, neither can it indeed be. That is why it must be crucified.
This is the only one way to heaven, because no one with that carnal nature will enter into Heaven.
The Bible is clear about that — and that is why The Bible teaches us that we must be Born Again.— meaning, take on a new nature!
This can only happen by submitting our lives to obey His Word, which is being led by His Spirit!
The more you obey the Word/ Spirit, the more the flesh nature dies and is crucified. In fact, this is the only way it can happen!
That is why it is very important that we examine our own selves to see if we are truly in the faith — meaning, truly obeying what His Word teaches us to do on a daily basis, or are we just calling ourselves by His Name saying we are a Christian, and not really doing what is pleasing in His sight daily, but rather, doing what we want to do.
The Bible says, if we love Him we will obey Him! He said, “Why callest me Lord and not do what I say? (Luke 6:46)
He says, keep His Commandment — and those who keep them are those that love Him (John 14:21).
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15
“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” John 14:23
“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” Luke 6:46
“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.” John 15:12
“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?” 1 John 4:20
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” 1 John 3:18
The Apostle Paul said “I die daily”. Meaning, he chose every day to obey God over his will and carnal fleshly desires. He knew obedience was a daily lifestyle for him as so it should be with us.
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.” 2 Corinthians 13:55
Because, anyone can say they are a Christian, but our actions in how we love and treat God and others — this determines if we truly are or not — and this determines if we are going to heaven or not.
Do we keep His commandments? Which is to love God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind, and love one another as you love yourself.
To be Christian means to be Christ-like — to have His nature and attributes — to have the nine fruits of His Spirit in full operation in our lives, that our fruit will always remain any day and everyday, not just a good religious deed here and there — friends that won’t make the mark either.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3
We Must Be Born Again
We must allow The Word of God to transform our way of thinking and living, and conform to The Word, not the world or the pleasures of the world.
The Bible tells us to love not the world, nor the things of the world, for he that loveth the world, the love of the Father is no in him!
We cannot have it both ways. We must choose Him — or the world — period!
We must choose this day whom we will serve.
“Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” John 3:7
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:22
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” 1 John 2:15-17
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15
Yesterday started one of the two most HIGH and HOLY days of the year on God’s calendar.
It is the beginning of a new year on Heaven’s calendar — Rosh Hashanah — followed by Yom Kippur.
It is a time of rededication. A time of Repentance — as we enter the Ten Days of Awe.
Heaven and Holy Angels will be highly involved with those who keep this Holy Day and respond as God would have us respond.
“Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty handed.” Deuteronomy 16:16
“And the King (LORD) shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these MY BRETHREN, ye have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:40
“These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.” Leviticus 23:37
“And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.” Exodus 12:14
