God uses different situations to bring you back to form.

This not to mean you have sinned, its the way God works when He wants vessels purified to get His purposes accomplished through men and women who have withstood His preparation process.

He will match the characters He desires in you for the task ahead, and sever those issues of heart He does not require. He doesn’t want His plans to fail.

He will separate you. He will use people and circumstances that at some point, come against you to afflict you and cause pain.

In the process He require from you the Fruit of the Spirit and His likeness, so that you do not misrepresent Him at the time of His future missions.

God doesn’t like it when you act contrary before people He has mandated you to pick up and walk with, to His freedom. What displeases Him he, cuts it off just, as the potter handles clay for ultimate desired form.

This morning I was thinking about what these things are. Then I found a beautiful scripture in Jeremiah 48:11-12. I preached on this verse sometimes back, yet the reflection it brought about in my heart today, is mind boggling.

“Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed. Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles,” Jeremiah 48:11-12.

Literally, Israel and every other “cousin” of theirs went into captivity at some point.

History tells that Moab was “preserved” until some point when God released an army against them. But before that, Moab rested and flourished in her strength in agriculture, both in fertility of the land and the pastures.

They were somehow hedged between mountains, making those who would attack have difficulty to terrorize them.

Deep In the land, they continued to worship Chemosh and rested in false prosperity, unlike Israel, who for a long time, had enemies who came and destroyed their crops and impoverished them. Only then they would look on God and seek Him, to break the cycle of misfortunes.

It is Moab who took the advantage of Israel, simply because Jehovah was straightening them up. Moab had no Philistine to attack them. Their date with those who “pours from jars” was bypassed, as now Moab grew in defiance and sinned even more.

And so, when every other one of the surrounding nation became stirred and strongly challenged, Moab was still there intact, in sin and lawlessness.

With no one to challenge their religion, they were just doing what they saw pleasant in their own eyes and apparently, somehow found the benefit of their dead religion.

In life, there are those who come to pour you from one jar to another. You have a date with your wilderness in this life. Note and welcome it for growth.

Each moment you go through unpleasant life situations, you are reduced into something else that gives God the glory, (if you are His child) when it does transform you into Christ likeness.

We are not called for a false rest. The true rest, is only in Christ, in doing His Will. Any other form of rest is foolish and wastage.

Wine undergo processes that bring sweetness out of it, until the dregs (the lees) are separated from the real wine, the mixture remains bitter.

God wants to extract sweetness from your place of bitterness. Wilderness causes just that, a bitter process, but sweet ending.

The days of grace are also the days of being poured into jars for purification, for as yet, the doors of mercy are open, and so you must avail for His sanctification.

We are living in the days when men want the easy way out. This is a generation which resists pain and sacrifice, but seeks for titles.

You find them with big names, but having no sweetness to transform the world.

They are immature people who settle on what the world give, not what is eternally gainful.

It will be too late for such people to be redeemed. What remains is sudden destruction to fall upon them, as they have previously not heeded the harbingers of these last days.
