You Have Fallen Beyond That Which Can Be Healed!
“I, the Lord, am sending a wind to destroy the people of Babylonia and Babylon, its capital. Foreign soldiers will come from every direction, and when the disaster is over, Babylonia will be empty and worthless. I will tell these soldiers, “Attack quickly, before the Babylonians can string their bows or put on their armor. Kill their best soldiers and destroy their army!” Their troops will fall wounded in the streets of Babylon,” Jeremiah 51:1-4.
“You say that you are a righteous nation.
You sing your songs to Me, and you say that you are the greatest nation upon the earth.
For surely, no one will break our defenses or penetrate our walls. But you have fallen oh land.
You have fallen beyond that which can be healed. Truly, your righteousness is as filthy rags to Me.
For I will bring you down from your lofty height. Where will you run to on that day when your buildings collapse around you?
You think that your great buildings are secure? Your land is being held in the balance.
For others plot against you, and in secret they have talked of your demise. You won’t be able to run away from the tumult that comes.
Oh but surely our great might would save us, you would say in your heart.
For have we not stood up for what is right?
Have we not been a beacon of light to the world?
I tell you that your shame is upon you,” says The LORD.
“For you say that you are righteous, and yet many of your own people live in poverty.
You say that you are a light to the world around you, and yet that very light has diminished to such an extent that now only a flicker is seen.
You will fall from your great pinnacle; and the fall will be heard throughout the globe. But out of the ashes will come a people who have truly honored Me.
These don’t sing songs just of pretension, but rather their hearts are drawn to Me.
But the tumult rises and the chaos continues. The halls of justice have become clouded as the one who sits upon the throne spews out his malicious orders.”
