You Gotta Friend In Jesus

You are never alone
He knows just where you’ve been
And need to go
He sent the Holy Spirit
The Helper and Guide
He’ll never lead you astray
He’ll lead you to the way, the truth and the life

Oh you gotta friend
When times are good
And when times turn tough
Unwavering, a constant help
In everything you do
He’ll never forsake nor abandon you
Oh you gotta friend in Jesus

Call on His Name
When you are in need
When the enemy surrounds you on all sides
When your back is against the wall
Remember the power
His Mighty and Matchless Name holds
And cover yourself in His Blood

Oh you gotta friend
When times are good
And when times turn tough
Unwavering, a constant help
In everything you do
He’ll never forsake nor abandon you

He laughs with you
He cries with you
He knows exactly what
You are going through
Never condemning, always encouraging
Your Advocate and Witness
He’s the most Faithful Friend you’ll ever have

Oh Jesus is His name and He forever belongs to you

“I AM going to send you what My Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:49.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are My Friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from My Father I have made known to you.” John 15:13-15.

“The one who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24.

“One who has a pure heart and who speaks with grace will have the king for a friend.” Proverbs 22:11.

“My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father — Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:1-2.
