You Are Not Called to be A Talking Donkey!
You are either of the light or you’re of the darkness. There isn’t an in between. To be in the gray area is to have darkness in you.
We must remember that holiness is not a suggestion, it is an requirement. We cannot make excuses for participating in darkness.
Our only reason for going into the darkness is to shine the light of Christ, so that those who are lost and searching for truth, will see their way out.
Christ came into a dark world to shine as the light. He then said that we are to be that same light, and we are not to hide it (which is His Spirit and Truth in us), but we are to place it on high for everyone to see.
So therefore we are to go into the darkness as a representative of Christ; not to look, act, nor participate in that which is of the darkness, nor align ourselves with those who dwell in it.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:22-23, the Apostle Paul wrote, “Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace will sanctify you wholly.”
Psalm 1:1 states, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”
So in other words men, you can’t go to the strip club and say it’s okay, because you not looking at the strippers, you’re just there for the food… 😂
It doesn’t work like that.
Several years ago I knew an acquaintance who took a part-time job as a bartender because she needed extra money, and she was a believer.
And every now and then she would come across some drunk who would pour their life out to her and she would tell them they needed to get their life straight with God.
One morning The LORD spoke to me and said, “Tell her, I did not call her to be a talking donkey!
The talking donkey saved Balaam, because it was at the right place at the right time. But that donkey received no reward for speaking.
So tell her that she will not receive any reward for what she is doing, because it is not what I called her to do, nor where she should be working.”
Although I gave the woman the Word The LORD instructed me to give, she didn’t receive it, and later on, she found herself so far from God she could no longer hear His voice.
Saints, it’s dire in this season that we walk in holiness.
So let’s be the light that Christ called us to be, and let us put away that which is of darkness, and those who justify sin.
And then, as Psalm 1:3 states,
“He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”
