You are Bought!
God values you and thinks highly of you. Regardless of what you feel, think or hear, God put a high price on you because you are precious to Him. In comparison to worldly standards, you are priceless. When you see yourself the way God see you, it will make your life a million times better, easier and a success. “But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.” Isaiah 43:1-2. You are precious to God that is why He called you by name and now He owns you. Hallelujah! This alone will drive out fear in your life and change your perspective; you belong to God and whatever you have or you are going through is for God to handle.
He said when you go through water, you won’t drown and in fire you won’t be burned because you are His. The three Hebrew boys were the first to experience this so much so that their hair was not singed even when they were thrown into the fire (Daniel 3:26-30). Instead they enjoyed the company of Jesus as the fourth man in the fire with them, because they are God’s and precious to Him. Hallelujah! When you purchase a treasure, it belongs to you. The value attached to it determines the price you are willing to pay. God values you greatly, He told the Israelites; “For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.” Isaiah 43:3-4. He gave Egypt as a ransom for the Exodus of the Israelites to the Promised Land to be actualized. He told them that they were precious in His sight that is why He honored and loved them. For the love of His precious people, He was willing to give men and people in their place that is how much God valued them.
When you fast forward to the New Testament, it gets better. “Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, … but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” 1 Peter 1:18-19. This scripture shows us how God paid the best; He didn’t just give people and nations, but His only begotten Son. That is why the bible says; “For God so loved” (John 3:16). It was great love when He gave His only begotten Son as a ransom, a price and sacrifice in exchange for you and me. The price that bought you is not corruptible like silver or gold, much as we call them precious metals; it was the precious blood of Christ. This is how precious you are to God. Also importantly to note is you do not belong to yourself or your Mama, but to God.
So you are not all alone as a struggler in life, with no one to help or listen; you belong to God and what you face is God’s task. With this knowledge, you will release your trust and faith in God. It helps you to call on His help whenever and wherever you need it. Precious child of God, read this; “And you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s” 1 Corinthians 3:23. You are God’s precious treasure. “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” 1 Corinthians 6:20. You were bought at a high price and you are God’s. God values you, you should value yourself too. Respect yourself and all children of God. You are beautiful before God; sickness does not look good on you. Poverty, confusion, divorce and all evil plagues, are not your portion, because you belong to Christ. So next time the devil brings anything on you, do not own it by saying, ‘I have cancer, I have sickness, I have failed, I won’t make it.’ Own up only to that which is precious, because you are precious. You should always shout; “I am healthy, I am wealthy and I am wise, in Jesus’ name!”
