You are a Principality and a Power!
by Prophets Russ and Kitty Walden
Introduction:
When God created man He created Him to be a creature of dominion and strength. Being a victim is not your natural state.
Being trodden over and defeated is not a condition you are suited for by God’s design.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion … all the earth…,” Genesis 1:26 KJV.
The word dominion here means to rule, dominate, tread down, subjugate to scrape out.
The word picture here is that of feet treading out grapes.
Wine is a metaphor in scripture for joy, comfort and celebration. In other words you were designed in creation to bring pressure to bear upon the raw materials of your life and cause your life to produce the vintages of joy, sweetness and blessing.
This isn’t something done for you or without your participation. God’s Kingdom is a participatory Kingdom. Jesus said in Luke 17:20 that the kingdom will never come by passive observation. You are a part of the process.
So it is clear from Genesis 1:26 that God’s original intent for man before sin and before the fall was that He bear rule in whatever environment man found himself in. What about after the fall? Is all of this lost to us?
What is Lost in the Fall is Restored in Christ
When Adam disobeyed all the earth and humanity itself became subject to vanity:
“And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed [is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life,” Genesis 3:17 KJV.
Is that the end of the matter? Is the observation of King Solomon from his backslidden state all that is left to us?
“I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all [is] vanity and vexation of spirit,” Ecclesiastes 1:14 KJV.
What was lost in the fall is restored in Christ:
“Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation,” 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 KJV.
You are an Ambassador of Christ – a Presiding Authority in God:
“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech [you] by us: we pray [you] in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God,” 2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV.
The authority abdicated in the fall through disobedience is restored in Christ through repentance and the new birth. The word ambassador here is where we get the word presbyter or elder. It is also where the word preside comes from and president.
Define Preside: to hold a position of authority. To possess authority and control. To have rank and office. To lead and to be in leadership.
Define Ambassador: an accredited diplomat. One with diplomatic immunity. Your prayers are diplomatic communiqués that the enemy does not have access to. Your prayers are protected by an encryption the NSA cannot penetrate.
What are the parameters of the dominion and rule God has bestowed upon man?
“Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it,” Genesis 2:15 NKJV.
The wording there translated tend and keep mean to “compel to produce and keep within bounds….” When your life get out of the bounds of God’s blessing of fruitfulness and multiplication you are authorized by heaven’s resources to do something about it.
What are the Boundaries of Your Authority as a Believer?
Now if you are presbyter a presiding authority in Christ’s stead what do you preside over?
Revelation 14:17 calls Jesus KING of KINGS and LORD of LORDS. Why?
1 Timothy 6:15 says He is the blessed Potentate, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Why does the bible call him this?
Daniel 2:37 says it is because God has GIVEN HIM A KINGDOM.
This is counter-intuitive, but it must be said. KINGS have KINGDOMS. But Jesus is NOT JUST a king but KING of KINGS. Who are the KINGS He is KING over?
Now we learned this in Sunday School but no one knows how to implement it in their lives. It is what the bible says but if YOU say it you are accused of presumption.
Revelation 1:5 says Jesus is the is the “faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.” To make sure there is NO confusion He identifies those kings in the next verse:
“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen,” Revelation 1:6 KJV.
Now any theologian will tell you that one isolated verse does not a doctrine of the church make. So let’s establish some doctrine here:
“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth,” Revelation 5:10 KJV.
“But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light,” 1 Peter 2:9 KJV.
The word royal here means “ruling house” or “ruling court”.
John the Beloved put it this way:
“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world,” 1 John 4:17 KJV.
Paul the Apostle put it this way:
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption,” 1 Corinthians 1:30 KJV.
The word righteousness here means that God has made Jesus to be our entitlement in the Kingdom. God calls Jesus SON and Jesus calls us BRETHREN.
God accepts you and moves in your behalf not because of who you are or what you have done but because of who Jesus is and what He has done.
Conclusion:
If our Heavenly Father is a KING (and He is) how does He superintend His kingdom?
Luke 11:2 tells us in order to align with the Father we are to pray “Our Father which is in Heaven – THY KINGDOM COME thy WILL BE DONE …”
God looked out in Genesis at the earth that was without form and void and He declared “My Kingdom COME!”
Now that is GOD who is a KING. But the scriptures (if you choose to believe them) say you are a King as well. Do you superintend your kingdom they way your Father in Heaven superintends His Kingdom?
Ephesians. 2:6 says you have been raised and seated. Verse 21 says you have been seated FAR ABOVE all principalities and powers and dominions and every name (authority) that has been named (authorized).
So you have positional authority. Now God wants you to be activated in OPERATIONAL AUTHORITY. He actually wants you to rule in your life. How do you do this?
Our Father Wants us to Follow and Imitate His Example:
“Be ye therefore followers [imitators] of God, as dear children,” Ephesians 5:1 KJV.
In every situation we should face it with the determination to do what God himself would do if He was in your position (because He is and was and will be again as our savior and CHRIST in us the hope of Glory, (Colossians 1:26).
God is not a victim because nothing can afflict Him. He is not a contender because no one can compete with Him.
He is the ruler over heaven and earth who from His lofty throne superintends creation with the pronouncement reverberating through the chambers of the cosmos the shattering cry MY KINGDOM COME.
And our response to Him as the royal scions of heaven is to ECHO: “thy kingdom come.”
When you look to HIM you say FATHER thy KINGDOM come. The Father says YES My Kingdom is COME and I have invested in you and made you a KING.
Kings have Kingdoms. If you don’t have a kingdom then the scripture is a lie and we are pathetic deluded unfortunates who have staked our lives on a figment of religious imagination.
You have a KINGDOM. You are to IMITATE YOUR FATHER where this KINGDOM is concerned. He looked at the CHAOS and said “MY KINGDOM COME!”
You as a DEAR son or daughter of Heaven look at the CHAOS and cry: MY KINGDOM COME!
When we look to our Father we cry THY KINGDOM COME … He smiles and releases it to us and we turn our focus on the encroachment of the enemy in our lives and CRY MY KINGDOM (the Kingdom My Father Gave Me!) MY KINGDOM COME!
God put you in your life like He put Adam in the Garden. What was lost in the FALL is RESTORED in CHRIST. You have jurisdiction. The jurisdiction of heaven is the boundary God has set for you.
Your responsibility is to TEND and KEEP that jurisdiction (to compel to produce, keep your life within the boundaries of God’s blessing…).
This is your portion. This is your privilege. This is your responsibility.
You have a measure (that Paul referred to). Your life will measure up exactly to the level of your faith.
Your response time to the Father will measure exactly His response time to you as you accept the mantle of heaven and face your life with the backing of all of heaven’s resources to put you over in every area of life.

Thank you for this good insight and reminder of who we are.
Throughout all generations people who knew they must live under GOD`s authority and His will, had to face hard struggles to lead and to rule or just to walk in GOD`s destiny as GOD wanted them to live and to be. Some lost their lives, some died beheaded, others in prison, under accusation, all for JESUS CHRIST. For the end times is predicted, it is even harder. Not this “easy-going-we-are-the-better-christians”. After all I dare to write: Those with the heaviest attacks and confrontations are the most faithful and pure believers. They should get help in every area or at least hospitality.
This precious HKP page gives me much of this. Behind the names are real persons with real passion and compassion, love and understanding. This is the will of GOD.
