Yom Kippur is the Jewish holiday known as the Day of Atonement and this year it is on September 29–30, 2017.

It is considered the holiest day on the Jewish calendar and is the day God seals the verdicts He has spoken over you for the coming year.

Even though we are no longer under the Law of Moses, and we do not have to celebrate the Jewish feasts, this is an important day for you prophetically.

“Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name. “On the day when I act,” says the LORD Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession,” Malachi 3:16-17a NIV.

Spiritual encounters

In May 2017, I had an encounter in a vision-like state while praying. I was taken into the spirit and shown things by God. I want to share these things with you to encourage you.

This was not just for me, but is for all of us — whether we realize it and remember it or not.

These types of experiences are usually more than a vision or a dream. They are similar to what Peter experienced in Acts 10 when he saw the sheet come down from Heaven and in Acts 12 when he had an encounter with an angel that literally broke him out of prison. Peter had no idea it was real until later on.

“Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening; he thought he was seeing a vision,” Acts 12:9 NIV.

Book of Life Encounter 2017

[Beginning of encounter.] I was standing next to the LORD before a golden altar and my book was on the altar.

I knew that this was my book of life and the LORD opened it and I could see things about my life. This was not about my sin, but about my calling and how the enemy has come against me.

At the beginning of this book was an overview of my calling. This contained things that the LORD had called me, and those in my generational line, to fulfill.

I could see yearly entries in the book. Each year I had the opportunity to advance into a greater level of my calling.

Every opportunity to advance contained a test of character. I could see times where I was not ready and this is why it seemed that things were delayed.

I now realize that it was not the LORD delaying them, but my own actions. This was not punishment, as it kept me safe by not promoting me before my time.

Then the LORD flipped to a part of the book that was for now. He began to show me that I had been passing the tests and that things are lining up for me to step into my greater calling.

The LORD turned to a page that said, “The time has now come!” This section contained detailed instructions for me.

The LORD laid His hand over this page and it began to activate things in Heaven. Angels and resources began to be assigned and there was much light and color flowing from His hand and the page of the book. [End of encounter.]

I want to encourage you that God has not forgotten you, and your tears and prayers have not gone unnoticed.

This is a year that many people will advance and be promoted spiritually.

Watch for dreams and visions over the next month to confirm what God is doing.
