As I was reading a post about David and Goliath, The LORD reminded me of something He revealed to me while in intercession for the Church I was attending at the time.

It was a warning to this Church about lifting up ‘leadership’ above God.

It eventually was ‘shut down’ by God, with, I’m sad to say, many ‘casualties’. As I recall, the home Church held 1-2,000 people. It had satellite churches, International students and outreach, a Bible College with some student housing, a Christian School, book and music publishing, and radio broadcasts. This was back in the early 80’s.

While in prayer before a morning service, what The LORD revealed to me had to do with David and Goliath.

He wants me to share this with His Wilderness Army NOW. He Is also adding to my original understanding as I type.

Regarding the first revealing while in prayer, The LORD impressed on me that Israel had demanded God would give them a king like the other nations. (See 1 Samuel 8-9)

Even after being warned by God about having an earthly king, they still demanded one. This king was of ‘Adam’, the flesh. Saul was appointed.

‘Saul’ means ‘asked for and demand’. We know the final outcome of Saul, and David waiting in the wings of the wilderness with the sheep.

Now, along comes the STALEMATE between Saul and the army of Israel, and Goliath and the army of the Philistines, (1 Samuel 17).

The meaning of Goliath, ‘exile’, and its root meaning may be ‘naked, uncovered’, and ‘exile’s’ etymology means ‘drive off, wander away’.

The main point is, Israel was given by God what they demanded! They were now face-to-face with a real ‘king of the flesh’.

Goliath was a GIANT from the races of the Nephilim, (Genesis 6:4; Numbers 13:33). God ‘gave them over’ to their own wills and desires (Psalm 81:12; Romans 1:24,26,28).

BUT! God ushered in David (aka Jesus Christ), a man after His Own Heart. The Father Knew beforehand what Israel would demand, and even more importantly, the World’s will and desires.

So, this World was given over to their demanded king and god (2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 2:2-3), just as Israel was, in their time.

Praise God! Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, and take back the keys of life and death, to deliver mankind, those willing to make Jesus their King and LORD, from Satan’s tyranny.

Now, I believe, we, God’s Remnant and True Body of Christ, are also coming to a similar CONFRONTATION.

The so called ‘Church of God’ is facing a similar stalemate. These members have, and are, putting their hopes and trusts, in earthly kings and rulers.

Some of these leaders are ‘head and shoulders’ above other men, just as Saul was, (1 Samuel 9:2; 1 Samuel 10:23).

This outward Church, along with their rulers and kings, is now coming face-to face with what they have lusted for; Carnal Rule.

The true nature and character of this earthly and worldly rule is rising up, day by day, into a satanic, dark, giant of a beast, of supernatural proportions.

It is, by human standards, out-of-control. It is revealing it’s true colors and intentions. Satan, the fallen angels, the Nephilim, have ‘wandered away’, leaving their first estates, and consequently driven off (Job 1:7; Jude 6; Genesis 4:14).

The LORD is allowing them, for a season, to come into the forefront for His Own Purposes. The True Body, The Bride of Christ, those who are after God’s Own Heart, are His Will and Purpose, (Ephesians 3:8-12; Ephesians 6:12).

Just as David defeated Goliath with the weapons given to him by God and not of man, and removed Goliath’s head, (1 Samuel 17:38-52) and Jesus bruised the head of the serpent, (Genesis 3:15, Colossians 2:15) The Man-child of Revelation 12, with Christ’s Rod of Iron, is about to be birthed in order to face the dragon and his minions.

He Will deal the mighty death wound to the serpent’s headship, (Revelation 13:3; Zecariah 11:17), to make way for The Great Outpouring of The Former and Latter Rains and the subsequent Great Harvest, and The Rapture of The True Ekklesia.

The letting process will then have been completed by The Holy Spirit. Then Satan, himself, will fill the body of Antichrist, who will usher in The Great Tribulation, (Revelation 13:1-8).

Prepare! Prepare! Prepare, my brothers and sisters of His Great and Mighty Army!

Know The True Commander in Chief. Hear clearly His Orders for your Assignments. Know, hone, and make ready The Divine, Holy Spirit, Accoutrements The LORD of Hosts has Given you, (1 Corinthians 12; Revelation 19:8-9,16)

The Battle is The LORD’s!!

“And all this assembly shall know that The LORD saves not with sword and spear; for the battle is The LORD’s, and He will give you into our hands,” 1 Samuel 17:47.
