Yes… Count Your Blessings…..

People ask God to bless them, but they forget a few things.

• You did not know you needed life, but God did and gave you one.
• You did not know you needed a spirit, body and soul, but God did and gave you one.
• You did not know you needed Jesus, but The Father drew you to Him and made you part of His Family and a Citizen of The Kingdom of God.
• You did not know you needed The Holy Spirit to guide you in life, so He gave you His Presence in you to guide you and be your companion in all you do.
• You did not know about eternal life with God after you died, so He told you about it and the place He has prepared for you.
• You did not know Jesus needed to die for you, but He did knowing you would ONLY understand over 1987* years after Jesus died. Jesus did not have to die for you but His Love required Him to do it.

God has given so much Love to us and yet we take it for granted.

We need to count the blessings God has given us and see if we are using them properly. We are a steward of these and we are required to be a faithful steward of them.

If we are not caring properly for the blessings he has given us already, how can He give us more blessings?

He will, in a sense, bless us with what we need to live The Christian life, but things we like that we do not need, or an increase them, He will not be able to give us until we learn to look after and appreciate what we have been given already.

Next time you want God to bless you count the blessings of what He has done you. You will appreciate them and He can give you more to appreciate from His Love for you.

Unless you see correctly how God has blessed you and provided for your needs with these blessings it will be difficult to content with what you have.

Remember that there is a difference between asking God to bless you, and sharing with Him a blessing you would like, but are not demanding (in prayer) to have.
