Wrestling With GOD!
Dear Brothers and Sisters, I am deeply humbled once again by our LORD.
I woke up this morning to see Veronika West’s post titled, “America’s Midnight Hour and Last Round,” and I was taken aback.
I had thought it had been my imagination, but there it was, confirmation, that all this past week The LORD had wrestled with me over my mountains.
He brought me to a place to see where there needed to be correction and an utterance of a “Sound of Holy Desperation.” It has been a very humbling these past four days.
On the night of November 2nd, I slept restlessly, calling out to GOD repeatedly.
I really don’t remember much of it except that and that it went on all night. And now I believe that night I came face to face with GOD and my mountains — mountains that only with Him could be removed. Mountains that only through surrendering to Him, and clinging onto Him, could be removed.
The next morning as I awoke, I was reminded solemnly of the place of humility He brought me to, and as I sat that morning waiting on Him and reading Psalms 45 through 48 (that was where I opened the Bible at random), He gave me this psalm.
I pray it blesses you as well.
Wrestling With GOD
Enter by the narrow gate
For the gate is wide
And the way is easy that leads to destruction
And those who enter it are many
For the gate is narrow
And the way is hard that leads to life
And those who find it are few
And there is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way to death
Many who think they are saved are deceived
Many who think they are doing the LORD’s Work are not
Many who think they are living righteously are living in sin
Oh Holy Spirit convict them to repent
And do the Father’s Will only…
A great shaking in my soul there has been
A great revelation
A great wrestling with GOD
As Jacob once did…
A great humbling
A great surrendering
A clinging to Him and Him alone…
Not letting go until He gives me His Blessing
Ohhhh most assuredly
He is my portion
I trust Him without question
When I cried out for Him
To move my mountains
He did not move them, no,
He kept them there for me to endure in Him
To fully see my short comings
Would I really surrender?
Would I really repent?
Many who think they are saved are deceived
Many who think they are doing the LORD’s Work are not
Many who think they are living righteously are living in sin
Oh Holy Spirit convict them to repent
And do the Father’s Will only…
Oh I wrestled with Him and did not let go
My rebellion, my anger burning hotly in my heart
I could not defeat these demons without His Help
Striving on my own did not avail,
Knowing there was no good in me
Cause each time I vowed I was done with them,
They came back to exact even greater misery
Nothing could overcome my mountains
Nothing but His Grace and Mercy
And in these revelations, I saw truth…
That He loved me enough to wrestle with me
For He is the Potter and I am the clay
He is the author and finisher of my faith….
I will not let go of Him until He has blessed me…
Many who think they are saved are deceived
Many who think they are doing the LORD’s Work are not
Many who think they are living righteously are living in sin
Oh Holy Spirit convict them to repent
And do the Father’s Will only…
Create in me a clean heart, O GOD;
And renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from Your Presence;
And take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of Thy Salvation;
And uphold me with Thy Free Spirit.
That I may gain CHRIST and be found in Him,
Not having a righteousness of my own…
But that which is through faith in CHRIST.
Oh I wrestled with GOD
Clung to Him in humility
Knowing my strength was really His
Knowing my life was no longer mine
Like a leaf falling to the ground in autumn,
The strongholds in me died
Now everything is a loss compared to the surpassing greatness
Of knowing CHRIST JESUS my LORD
“But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ — the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.” Philippians 3:7-9
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” Psalm 51:10-12 KJV
“And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay and you are the Potter. We are all formed by your hand.” Isaiah 64:8 TLB
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13-14
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” Matthew 7:21-23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” Luke 6:46
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” James 1:22
“Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.” Proverbs 3:7
“That night Jacob got up and took his two wives, his two female servants and his eleven sons and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. After he had sent them across the stream, he sent over all his possessions. So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.”
But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”
The man asked him, “What is your name?”
“Jacob,” he answered.
Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”” Genesis 32:22-28

“Let everything that has breath praise The LORD.” Psalm 150:6.
