The word for worship or thanksgiving in Hebrew is “yad” or “yadah”, which means “the open hand.”

A person of worship is someone with an open hand; a hand that gives. It’s an open hand, an open heart, and a open spirit that worships God.

Today, we have misinterpreted worship as a good song played during church service, or someone running around in free-flowing garments leaping and gesturing.

But this is not worship. Worship is Love responding to Love. It’s the love of Christ in you, responding to Love Himself…. YHVH-God. And love is selfless, therefore love gives.

But an open hand not only gives, it receives. So the hand that doesn’t give, isn’t going to receive either.

If you are born again, you become spiritually Jewish; you are grafted into the olive tree, which represents Israel.

Therefore your life should be characterized by thanksgiving, because the word “yadah” also comes from “Yahudah”, meaning Judah, or Jew.

The word Jew means one who gives thanks with an open hand, with praise. When you give thanks to YHVH-God, selfishness disolves.

You can’t be selfish and give thanks at the same time.

To live a life that worships God, you have to have an open spirit, an open heart, an abundant life.

The more you give, the more you will let go. The more you let go, the more you surrender. And the more you surrender, the more His Spirit is free to flow through you.

See, the secret is that true worship is about allowing His will to be done.

The one who has an open hand to give blessings, is one who has an open hand to receive them.

This is the one who has learned the secret of the open yad, the open hand.
