Worse and Worse
The wicked will wax worse and worse, and the will be constantly deceiving and themselves being deceived.
This is a very relevant description of the days in which we are living in the American land, if not all over the world.
Evil men are everywhere causing much deception and that deception is like chains which bind men.
It is difficult to even read the news of events happening everyday these days.
The last times are definitely here. I personally never thought that many things we hear of happening now would ever happen in America; things that are so very hard to even understand.
Why would any man wish to do such things as we are seeing?
Surely it is the work of the devil himself corrupting the men of today, and sin which is so open and disgusting being committed all around us.
“Yea, and all that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:12-13.
Yes, we do hear about an awakening, but what I have heard about many being awakened [is in the mist of a very dark night or great distressing times].
Some time ago I heard The LORD say that everything will change and nothing will be the same as before.
He talked about the [only way a believer can even live in the midst of what he said was coming] would be by Faith.
For the one who understands The Bible meaning of Faith, it is clear that Faith is substance or reality of things hoped for and is the evidence of things not seen.
In order to live in these days of great evil and deception, one must look beyond the world to see by Faith.
Then we who look, understand that Faith comes by hearing and hearing by The Word of God.
Yet today, there is a dying interest in The Word of God itself. It seems that so many will no longer even read or study The Word, which means they are not growing in Faith.
More and more, I personally am talking with people who profess to be believers [Christians}, who will not read The Word!
You cannot even get them to study The Word, and if you do get them to read it, they come back saying: “I don’t understand it!”
Disinterest grows even worse today among the Christians and we see a great departure from The Word of God!
This is alarming!
Of all the signs of the end-times that are spoken in Scripture, certainly this is a great sign when men leave off The Word of God.
Recently I have dealt with professors who call themselves separated and fundamental Christians, but they did state openly to me, “but we do not preach, and we do not teach the scriptures, nor do we want to even have such meetings”!
The leader of this group said: “We only witness in lifestyle evangelism and life before the people….”
According to this one person speaking, just follow him and one would be saved.
When I asked him to explain how a person is saved, I did fully understand him to say by doing good works!
This of course was not Faith, because Faith is a product of the study of The Word of God.
If a person will not study The Word, it reasons then that they will not live in true Faith.
Deception is on every hand today. The above Scriptures talk about: “evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived….”
In many “Churches” today, there is no longer any serious Bible Study. There is very little Bible even preached in the pulpit sermons!
The Scriptures are only referenced and then only the Scriptures that [they feel and understand] prove what they believe.
It is easy to be led astray and depart from real spiritual life, by not even preaching or teaching The Word of God.
Today, it is becoming worse and worse, as we watch even professing believers removed farther and farther from the pure and sure pathways found in scripture.
It is today seen as we watch “Professing Believers” embrace sexual perversion as normal and acceptable with God. [Such as saying homosexuality was created by God, therefore it is acceptable in the pulpit and everyday “Church”].
While the world burns, we watch the burning of Biblical Christianity.
It is no longer as the world turns, but now it is summed up by saying as the world burns. Burning up any and all things good and right, and making things clearly wrong as acceptable and approved [even by God himself]!
What is the answer to this growing evil?
There must be a return to The Bible, The Word of God.
It is “Back to The Bible“, today’s most relevant and timely message.
Jesus even said:
“I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8.
A very good and relevant question which we understand more clearly today then ever before.
