Word Patterns — Instruction
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of The LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For The LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.” Psalm 1:1-6.
One of the greatest weapons the enemy uses against God’s People is to bring confusion into the depths and heights of God’s Word.
If he is able to shield or twist the power, authority, truth, and anointing of God’s Word — it gives him a greater lead way for his corruption.
A good study habit and way to find weapons in the written Word — The Bible — is to break it down into categories.
Even though we are able to place emphasis on certain components of Scripture, there is no one rule for understanding Bible truths and doctrines.
Often The Word of God does not just fit into one category by itself nor is it bound to one specific situation.
When The LORD gave this word this morning for my prayer petition — immediately, I prophetically saw the scriptures wrapped into these principles below.
- Instruction
- Devastation/ Result of Disobedience
- Hope
- Promise
- Clarity/ Revelation
- Outcome/ Reward
The Instructions
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of The LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2.
Everything has a beginning and end in natural time and existence.
God’s creation is based or established but not limited to or by — instruction, atmosphere, phase, change, discovery, opportunity, existence, demand, dependence, cooperation, life — cycle, participation, instinct and ability, also obedience and rebellion.
God’s Law — which is His love, governs all of creation. God did not put a cap on His love in the beginning or at any given point in time.
The Father looked at all He created and made a simplified deduction, by looking at Himself, “and God saw that it was good,” (Genesis 1:4,10,12,18,21,25,31).
It does not take God all day to see things as they are because He already put everything into its proper place and order.
The chaotic thing that caused a displacement in God’s Kingdom is sin. Keep in mind that God had nothing to do with the creation of sin.
Sin responded to opportunity, discovery, existence, instinct, ability, and participation. All these things led to pride, arrogance, disobedience, rebellion and fallen man.
We know from reading God’s word in Genesis that man did not obey instructions.
Failure of the first man to follow God’s instructions brought about suffering, shame, and death to future generations.
As we look at devastation that fell upon Adam and Eve — there is opportunity to prevent certain calamities.
God made man so he would attach himself to God’s plan and pattern for life.
We do not know the fullness of Adam’s memory bank and to what degree he was able to function on his own without God’s command.
Perhaps God gave man instructions to activate his brain to obtain more knowledge and gain wisdom.
The LORD did not create Adam to be self-sufficiency, nor to function in isolation. Thank God man is not made to be self-reliant! We need God His presence.
God knew that giving man instructions was a sure way to shape man more into His image and likeness.
As we look at God’s Instructions to beginning man and women, let us consider our fate and decided how best to walk in obedience.
Instructions are roadmaps for completing task but mainly for keeping order. Remember to look for instructions when reading God’s Word.
God’s initial instruction to the first couple was not implied but clearly stated.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and without God’s over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26-28.
As I look at the instructions in this outline of Scripture – I see the “Honey Do’s and the Honey Don’ts”.
Verse 1 describes the Honey Don’ts, and verse 2 explains the Honey Dos.
Follow the instructions!
These are very plain instruction even for a new Christian to follow. God’s instructions are center around giving the devil no place and instead giving Him all the Glory. And in the process the student of God’s Word receives the blessing.
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” Psalm 1:1.
“But his delight is in the law of The LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Psalm 1:2.
