Witty and Mocking Spirits
As I was waking up exactly one year ago today, I was being told to watch out for “WITTY and MOCKING spirits” that are arising.
We must be very careful with our words, especially at this crucial time in our country. We are disappointed with the election but we cannot give in to mocking others, even if we think it is justified.
This is meant to mean those things that are making fun of, jesting of. in an intelligent, sarcastic way.
As I was cleaning out my late in-laws house and going through papers, I came across things that mocked and poked fun at those in power at the time and the way the country was headed.
I once would have agreed with what was being made fun of, but now see these things in a new light as God has been refining my way of thinking lately.
Needless to say, these papers were shredded, but God is highlighting now, in this season, that we are to be especially careful about what we say and how we speak.
Before my father passed away last year, God gave me a dream about him. I had been very concerned for his salvation as he confessed to be a believer but he had prejudices and harboured things against other people constantly.
My siblings and I were often the target of his resentments. In this dream, he sat in a white truck on a golden field at dusk. The sky had a glow to it still and I was standing beside the truck, as he leaned his head back on the seat rest in the passenger seat.
I told him it was time to come in now and he wanted just a little while longer. Then in the dream, he began to confess things that he needed to repent of.
As he spoke the words he was saying WERE PRINTED IN THE AIR and floated a bit before dissipating.
Thing after thing he confessed, and as his words were printed out, I knew God was dealing with him and that he would be prepared for eternity.
Then I heard from The Spirit, “He is in the dawn of his life.” Dawn* here can mean before or after a sunset. I knew he didn’t have long to live, which proved to be very true. He had made peace with God in time.
What We Say Matters
What The Holy Spirit is emphasizing today, is that we must be very careful with words. Also that the devil is raising up this evil spirit right now. Mocking causes dissension and the Lord wants us to have UNITY.
He can’t work with a people divided. Every time we speak, we have the choice to speak LIFE OR DEATH. Paul speaks many times about watching our words and that life and death are in the tongue.
King Solomon spoke many words of wisdom about this too.
I believe we must counteract the enemy’s tactics by cancelling out all words spoken against us and asking forgiveness for the words we have spoken against others.
Bless instead of curse, encourage and build up instead of mock. Be a bride, pure and ready for your own homecoming.
*Dawn : נֶשֶׁף : Strong’s Concordance H5399 dark, dawning of the day morning, night, twilight.
From nashaph; properly, a breeze, i.e. (by implication) dusk (when the evening breeze prevails) — dark, dawning of the day (morning), night, twilight.
