Wisdom, Love or Faith?
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding,” Proverbs 4:7.
“But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love,” 1 Corinthians 13:13.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him,” Hebrews 11:6.
We are told above that wisdom is the main thing, and that we need this, along with understanding. And this is true, to live a successful life in this world, wisdom guards a man, and keeps him away from danger, and causes him to live fruitfully with his neighbors and those around him. We are also told that the greatest attribute that we could ever have is love. For along with faith, and hope, these are the three that will remain, and will be eternal. Knowledge and prophecy, and all of the gifts of the spirit, will vanish, but faith, hope, and love will abide forever. And yet we are told again and again, that without faith it is impossible to please God because we must first believe that he is.
For all of these are needed in this life, and yet love alone cannot believe in God. For he first loved us, to bring us to him, and yet we cannot come to him in love alone, it is only through our belief in him first, that we come, and then our entire life is walked out in this faith.
But if one just believes and doesn’t possess love, then their faith becomes a rigid thing, devoid of warmth and joy. We can believe that he will lead us and guide us, but as we then serve him and others, our understanding becomes mechanical and shallow because we lack the knowledge of knowing others through his love to us.
And then finally, even with faith and love, we are not entirely successful, or safe in this life of ours. We are told that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, Proverbs 9:10. And yet, this is just the beginning of wisdom, for in fearing him, and reverencing him, in time, we become to know him as he knows us intimately. In the beginning wisdom was ever before him, as one working alongside him, ever delighting him, Proverbs 8:30.
“For he who finds me finds life And obtains favor from the LORD,” Proverbs 8:35.

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the Lord is a special way in 1975 and has been prophesying regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are to be reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
