I was told by God to go and preach on television in 2007. That commandment did shock me at the time and the reason was because I did not have two dimes to rub together! I was broke. But yet, I heard the Lord say it loud and clear, he said, I WANT YOU TO CALL THE OWNER OF THE TV STATION AND GIVE HIM A WORD. As soon as I heard his instructions I begin to get the word for the man. I had been ask to give my testimony several years before that day on his station so I knew him and he knew me. Immediately I begin to write down the word from God as it came. It said basically…. There is coming a great shaking in the land of New Mexico and you ______ and channel _____ will be used mightily to bring help and understanding at that time and to promote revival in New Mexico.

I sat shaken by the words I had received but He again spoke. He said, TAKE THE WORD TO HIM IN PERSON. Do not tell him in a letter or over the telephone, but call him and make an appointment to deliver the word to him personally. THEN HE SAID SOMETHING THAT REALLY SHOOK ME… He said: AND I WILL PUT YOU ON TELEVISION!!! What Lord, did you say you were going to put me on TV? Yes. That is all He said.

I wept and Celeste even began to shake and weep. How in the world could we ever be on Television when we were at the moment having a very hard time just finding the money to eat and survive?

After some time of prayer and regaining our strength, we decided that the Word given to me must be delivered as He said, so I picked up the Telephone and punched in the numbers. I was transferred over to the Owner and I said, Brother _______ the Lord has instructed me to call you and set up an appointment so I can deliver to you a Word from Him. The man hesitated for a moment than he said, Can you not just tell me over the phone? I said No, the Lord said to give it to you in person. Oh, he said, well can you at least tell me what is about? I said, sir, it is about revival, but that is all I can say. He hesitated again and then said, How would you like to give me that word ON TELEVISION? Can you come to the station on such and such a date and time and appear on a special program? I was shaken again, than answered, YES I CAN BE THERE. Well we did go to that appointment and I took the Word, Celeste was with me on that Television Program. I gave Bro. ________ the word and he ask us a few questions and we sat the remainder of the 30 minute program just as guest on the set. After the program went off the air Bro. _______ said to me Brother Dewey I believe God wants you to be on this station, Would you be interested in a weekly program on channel ____? I sat there shocked again, but not shocked beyond belief, because God had already told me I would be asked.

We remained on the Television twice weekly for seventeen months (17 Months)… YES, I SAID SEVENTEEN. And God paid the bill in some of the most remarkable ways past our figuring out how he would do it… UNTIL ONE WEEK THE MONEY STOPPED COMING IN. Well we begin to pray and pray for the funds, and we begin to get further and further behind on our payments. Finally I was told by the station I must pay or else stop the program. I eventually did so, leaving owing a bill which I could not pay at that time. (Later God gave us over $5000.00 to pay that debt supernaturally, but IT WAS OVER A YEAR LATER….) You must know that we were devastated that we could not continue the programs and were left wondering WHY LORD DID THE MONEY STOP?

While praying one day about it the Lord spoke to me some things (things I will not relate them all here because this is a true story and it may even get back to those who know me and were involved). The Lord said to me I SPOKE TO THEM (MANY OF THEM) TO GIVE YOU THE MONEY……. BUT THEY WOULD NOT OBEY ME. THEREFORE I WILL HAVE TO DO IT ANOTHER WAY. WOW.. LORD, I said. Are you telling me that it was NOT YOU WHO DID NOT PAY THE BILL BUT PEOPLE YOU SPOKE TO SEND THE MONEY AND THEY DID NOT OBEY? Yes, He said. They did love their money more than me.

Well you probably are saying about this time, CAN NOT GOD DO IT EVEN THEN? Well, Yes matter of fact, He can. But He did not because HE USES MEN TO DO HIS WORK. When men fail to obey Him THEY MISS THEIR OPPORTUNITY TO SERVICE AND THEREFORE MISS THEIR BLESSING. The fact is God wants men to obey him and when they do, the work will go forward. [I have not been on TV since, about a year later God did give us the money to pay off the debt. But you must know I HAD TO PAY IT OUT OF MY MONEY. For this I will be rewarded for doing right, but those who did not obey God, they will loose their reward/s]

Now another time we stood in a Tent Meeting in _______ New Mexico. [Again this is a true story so I will not say all] We had a very good meeting in that city and dozens of people were saved and many set free from demons and addictions. Each night in the meeting, the Lord told me to ask for PARTNERS TO THIS MINISTRY. So each night I did ask for Partners and even handed out a PLEDGE FORM TO EACH PERSON WHO STOOD AND SAID YES, I WILL SUPPORT YOU MONTHLY. In that meeting we took up over 20 PARTNER PLEDGES, which would have been enough for Celeste and I to continue with continual setting up meetings and living, in the Future. (You must know one of the hardest things to do in the Tent Ministry is to live and have the money needed IN BETWEEN MEETINGS. It is OK when offerings are coming in each service, but it is the down time. The time going to the next meeting that is hard).

Well to make the story short, ALL THE ONES WHO PLEDGED SUPPORT …. ***(((EXCEPT ONE)))*** SENT THE MONEY. Matter of fact, that One is still sending the support. But, because we did not receive the PROMISED MONEY, we were NOT ABLE TO HAVE ANOTHER TENT MEETING THE FOLLOWING SUMMER. NOT EVEN ONE.

Well, you say, IS GOD NOT ABLE? Yes, He is able, but HE WANTS MEN TO OBEY HIM AND TO DO WHAT HE SAYS.

Then God has been sending us PEOPLE TO HELP in this ministry. LITERALLY AN ARMY of people to STAND UP FOR JESUS. But in some instances…. One man who came turned out to be more of an Enemy than a Help. Another, Preacher, did not do what He said he would do when it came time to have meetings. Than another was sent, but refused to be UNDER A PASTOR but wanted to be the Pastor.

What happened? God sent MEN AND WOMEN TO HELP, but they WOULD NOT HELP. They ONE BY ONE WENT AWAY… and we were left without any help.

Well again someone says, IS GOD NOT ABLE? Yes he is able but… HE WANTS MEN TO OBEY HIM.

Now I want you to consider the following Bible Story that the Apostle Paul wrote:

2 TIMOTHY 4:9-17 [Amp. Bible]
⁹ Make every effort to come to me soon.
¹⁰ For Demas has deserted me for love of this present world and has gone to Thessalonica; Crescens [has gone] to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
¹¹ Luke alone is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is very helpful to me for the ministry.
¹² Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
¹³ [When] you come, bring the cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, also the books, especially the parchments.
¹⁴ Alexander the coppersmith did me great wrongs. The Lord will pay him back for his actions.
¹⁵ Beware of him yourself, for he opposed and resisted our message very strongly and exceedingly.
¹⁶ At my first trial no one acted in my defense [as my advocate] or took my part or [even] stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them!
¹⁷ But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the [Gospel] message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was delivered out of the jaws of the lion.

Now the question, I must ask, Myself and each of you, WILL WE DEPART LOVING THIS PRESENT WORLD… or.. will we be found doing what God has called us to do?

After reading the above do you now see the teaching found in the Scripture. Look at Demas who the Apostle Paul said concerning, “HE HAS DESERTED ME FOR LOVE OF THIS PRESENT WORLD.”

AGAIN, “LUKE ALONE IS WITH ME”

AGAIN, “ALEXANDER THE COOPERSMITH DID ME GREAT WRONG”.

v.16. “At my first trial, no one acted in my defense [as my advocate] or took my part or [even] stood with me. but ALL FORSOOK ME. May it not be charged against you.”

Literally the Lord will HAVE TO DO IT ANOTHER WAY because many will NOT OBEY him and do as told. Many will loose their reward because they refused, OTHERS WILL BE RAISED UP to take their place and go on to do their job. I have heard it said that GOD WILL EVEN GO TO THE SEVENTH (7TH) PERSON, REPLACING THOSE WHO WILL NOT SERVE. This is humbling to me.

In the past, many have not obeyed the Lord, and we have NOT been able to do some things… but you must know, that God will RAISE UP SOMEONE ELSE and the Work will be done.

I remember the Apostle Paul himself saying in 1 Corinthians 9:27… Amplified Bible.

“But [like a boxer] I buffet my body [handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships] and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel and things pertaining to it, I MYSELF SHOULD BECOME UNFIT [not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfiet].” IN THE KJV.. it says SHIPWRECKED.

HERE IS WHAT THE LORD IS SAYING RIGHT NOW…

Thus saith the Lord: Will I have to DO IT ANOTHER WAY because you would not serve me, give, or obey? Will I have to LOOK FOR ANOTHER TO TAKE YOUR PLACE? Which will it be? Will you be PROFITABLE? PROFITABLE TO THIS ARMY WHICH I HAVE CALLED YOU INTO? WILL YOU FORSAKE ME AND MY CALLING BECAUSE OF THE CARES OF YOUR WORLD? I ask you, WILL YOU?
