Will We Follow Him into Deep Waters?
The God of the deep things many times beckon us to follow Him into deep billowing waters – but will we follow?
“Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me,” Psalm 42:7.
“Thirsting for God in Trouble and Exile,” Is the heading of this Psalm.
The deep waters and waves that are spoken of here are trouble and problematic circumstances.
Whenever God is ready to call us into a deeper place with Him, we may face these stormy waters that take us into the depths of personal challenges, and that go beyond the norm of our everyday experiences, or even the normal challenges we may face.
For it is only in being able to unfold His depths in us, that He may unfold them through us, and in order to unfold them in us, room has to be made for His Presence!
More of us needs to be broken up as fallow ground, so that more of Him may occupy the inner sanctuary of our soul.
It is a never ending process of revelation upon revelation, breaking upon breaking, and Glory upon Glory!
Who will follow?
Those who have come to an end of their will and who crave for His will and His Person and Presence to be MANIFEST (presently live and be seen in demonstration) in and through them.
“A contrite heart and a broken spirit (the crushing of self at Your feet) You will not shun oh LORD” …. David (Psalm 53).
