Why is There So Much Killing & Injustice?
Have you ever wondered what is going on with the world and why there is a sudden surge in violence, murder and senseless killing?
I was very surprised with God’s response to me when I asked this question.
I heard, “All you need is love!”
I know this sounds cliché (and it is also the title to a Beatles song), but I felt a seriousness from the LORD. I would like to share more of the prophetic insight that I received and also present a solution.
A time of shaking
We are in a time of shaking as God is preparing us for a coming revival. Naturally, the enemy does not want this revival to happen.
Everywhere you look, people seem to be in fear. Terrorism itself inflicts fear upon people and it can get us out of God’s perfect peace.
I was reading a statistic by the CDC (Center for Disease Control) that the leading cause of death in the United States is heart failure. This reminded me of what Jesus said:
“… men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken,” Luke 21:26 NKJV
It is interesting that Jesus said people would suffer from heart failure due to fear. We are seeing this happen right now.
It is important to remove fear from our lives and instead be filled with the Holy Spirit and faith, hope and love, (1 Corinthians 13:13).
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but power and love and of a sound mind,” 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
As we cast out fear and replace it with love, we will receive a sound mind. Many people are suffering from mental illness, causing them to act out in violence. This is from a lack of love and allowing fear to overpower us.
Jesus said to love
Jesus said the most important commandments were to love God, our neighbors and ourselves (Mark 12:28–31).
As I look around, I see that these verses have not been valued to the level that Jesus asked us. Just look at social media and you will agree with me.
When we begin to judge others and step out of perfect love, we invite fear into our lives.
Here’s the most powerful revelation we can have on this, and the solution as well:
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love,” 1 John 4:18 NKJV
We need to get into the perfect love that John (and Jesus) talked about.
As we step into perfect love, we will no longer have fear. But if we allow fear to rule in our lives, then a tormentor can be assigned to us.
This is the condition of people today. Tormentors are being assigned to people’s minds, causing a dark cloud of hatred to cover our land. This is also causing people to engage in senseless killing.
Even believers can be tormented by fear and be inflicted with hopelessness in our souls and sickness in our bodies.
What is the solution?
As simple as it sounds, we need to love and not hate or judge others. It is a time like never before to step into God’s perfect love.
We can do this by being kind and compassionate to one another.
We can turn the dark cloud over our nation into an open heaven of God’s love and light. But it requires us to cast out fear and be filled with the love of Jesus.
When it comes down to it, as God said, “All you need is love!”
