Why Do We Celebrate Christmas?
Why do we celebrate Christmas? A pagan holiday!
“You shall not follow the practices of the land of Egypt, where you used to live, or the practices of the land of Canaan, where I AM bringing you. You must not walk in their customs,” Leviticus 18:3.
This post is not to judge or point fingers, but to inform those who may not know…
We all have celebrated Christmas and other holidays during our childhood and even through adulthood.
But does God agree with us celebrating Christmas and other pagan holidays? (Easter, Thanksgiving, Mother’s Day, Halloween…. etc..)
Just because we have done it for so long, or just because our parents and foreparents did it, does it make it right with The Most High God?
Will we obey God, or the traditions of men?
“But Peter and the apostles replied, ‘We must obey God rather than any human authority,'” Acts 5:29.
If someone had told me this years ago, I would have thought they were really crazy or just too radical…. But this is just what the devil would have you to believe!
He works through things that seem harmless or very subtle, such as decorating a tree or a house, or passing out candy to small children and dressing them in demonic masks and costumes…….
It would be a great idea if you would really research Halloween. Because if you did, you would not allow your children to participate in the hidden and subtle Satanic ritual.
We wonder why our youth are rebellious and violent. It is because we are exposing and opening the door to them for demonic spirits.
But like I said, we did not know any better and neither did our foreparents. They loved us, so they thought they were making us happy and they did the best that they could at the time; thereby we followed the same customs and traditions with our children.
So just from whom, what, or where did we learn this tradition of Christmas?
Well, our ancestors learned this practice when they reached the shores of America (Babylon/ Egypt) – Revelation 11 & 17) through the Atlantic slave trade.
In addition, careful research will show that the concept Christmas actually started with an orgy sex party through and by the Romans and Greeks. This is why God forewarned us not to engage in practices of the heathens.
To be exact, this practice was celebrated before the birth of “Christ.” The Babylonians also celebrated this festival and gave the same exact date for a pagan deity, December 25.
In all honesty, I have a news flash for you! The image that we were given as Jesus Christ and that we saw as children, young adults, and even now, that hang on the walls in our grandmother’s and mother’s homes, is not “Jesus.”
No, that guy is Cesare Borgia. And for the record, “Jesus” is a Greek/ Roman name. It is not the true name of the son of The Most High God. His true name is Yahuah/ Yahawashi…. But that’s another lesson, because we have been programmed through paganism and tradition.
Some things will be hard for us to re-learn, because if a lie is told long enough, it will be believed. And for nearly 400 years, we have been told a lot of lies and untruths..
I have said nothing that cannot be researched through your smart phones, computers, or other technology. If we are ignorant of things in this day and time, it is because we refuse to read and research for our own learning and interest.
I, myself was ignorant of these facts for many years, until God revealed the truth to me and I began to research the information for myself.
I always say if we know better, we should try with all of our efforts to do better to please The Most High God.
Because with the condition of this world, with all of the turmoil, violence, and natural disasters, we are definitely going to need His guidance and protection for us, our children, and loved ones.
Therefore, we want Him to know that we honor what pleases Him, so that we can receive His goodness, protection, mercy, and grace.
Now back to the holiday of Christmas and the Christmas Tree… It is described in Jeremiah chapter 10…….
The Christmas Tree
“Hear what the LORD says to you, people of Israel. 2 This is what the LORD says: “Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens, though the nations are terrified by them. 3 For the practices of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. 4 They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter. 5 Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good,” Jeremiah 10:1-5.
Read Jeremiah 10 and post your comments!
“You must not follow the statutes of the nations I am driving out before you, for they did all these things, and I abhorred them,” Leviticus 20:23.
“And I said to you: ‘I AM the LORD your God. You must not worship the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell.’ but you did not obey Me,” Judges 6:10.

I do not understand what is so important of a tree to satan, It does not have a soul, it will rot and go back into the soil.?I do not want to disobey GOD, I love GOD, JESUS and the HOLY SPIRIT with all my heart, I just do not see putting a tree up at Christmas any different of having trees planted in a planter in the house, it is for decoration not to worship. I celebrate some of the Jewish Holidays too, Like on Hanukkah with the blue and silver and the menorah sitting on our dinning room table. I put up different pictures all over the house, I never have worshipped a picture. I just believe what is in my heart is the most important, wanting a pure heart and clean hands and all my sins forgiven is the most important part standing before GOD. It is not just about the tree, but having a picture of Christ praying at the rock or knocking at the door is beautiful. No one has seen GOD, but in our hearts, I feel we will know him that is our LORD and Master. When I see a picture of JESUS knocking at the door, I think of JESUS knocking on our hearts. When I see him praying at the rock, I think about him praying for all of us. I have gone for years not putting up a Christmas tree, due to my preacher grandson coming against it. I only see a tree as part of a forest, Jesus made the trees. I just can not see beyond of a tree in a planter in ones home or the shofar, and the menorah sitting on a table wrong, it is just that time of the year of the different seasons, changing like I put colorful leaves all over my table in Oct. and the some of the windows, but I have never worshipped a leaf. At 79 years old, I know or feel like JESUS Birthday was not in December, but the world wants to celebrate his Birthday in December. Does it matter so much as long as we celebrate him or acknowledge him in December. My Birthday is in November, but I was not suppose to be born until December. I came at 8 months instead of nine months. I see this in the natural, it does not matter which month my Birthday is celebrated. GOD looks on the heart, I believe this. All this about the seasons and what I put on my table or in my home, I pray it Glorifies GOD and does not cause him any grief over the way I have or have not done, I love him so much and I never want to do any thing that would hurt my LORD. pray for my understanding.
Heather,
I’m including a link from Joseph Herrin that provides some good background on the Pagan origins of Christmas.
From my personal experience, letting go of Christmas is part of walking the narrow path, denying ourselves and stepping out of the world. It is by no means an easy task and risks alienating loved ones who do not share our level of faith. Satan has been leveraging our relationships since the original days in the garden when Eve enticed Adam into disobedience.

I’m also linking a prophecy the Lord gave to Raymond Aguilera regarding worship of the Christmas tree, which may well occur during the final days of wrath or great tribulation:

Oh I am so glad to see this posting. The Lord began to teach me these things way back in the 90’s and it took me about 5 years before I was finally obedient. Through the years its been a very lonely season when the christmas celebrations begin because I have been totally alone in this. Family and friends just think I am strange, but as one called apart for intercession I must obey my Lord. Thank you.

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.
Colossians 2:16
Does this mean that one cannot sing any Christmas songs to the LORD? One cannot celebrate Christ without a tree (not like one is needed)? What shall replace Christmas with a holiday to honor Him?
Sister, thank you for presenting the truth. Please pray that Yah will give all His children the boldness to speak his word and a humble spirit to receive His word in this hour. Blessings!
Thanks sister. I discovered this truth last year and am so grateful to the Beloved RUACH.
Thank you, Geraldine. The Lord/Adonai began revealing this to me many years ago. I appreciate your research and pray for your ministry and daily sharing with others of the truth of the Scriptures.
Blessings always,
Dawn
