Whom are you representing?

I hear God say that it is time-out, for all these doctrines of men and doctrine of devils: for they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men shoulders, but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers (Matthew 23:4).

Here is just a list below. The Lord gave me, but I am sure there are more:

• You cannot wear any or some kinds of jewelry (gold, silver etc.).
• You cannot have flowers to decorate your hair, no dress without the sleeve out.
• You cannot be baptized or take communion if you are engaged in the above.
• You cannot come to church without wearing white.
• You cannot possibly be saved unless you speak in tongues.
• You cannot possibly be spiritual and be materially blessed.
• You cannot play or listen to Christian contemporary music and be accepted with God.
• You cannot play sports and be a Christian.
• You cannot take medicine and be a person of proper faith.
• You cannot be saved and wear makeup, don’t wear dress/need stockings etc.
• You cannot be saved and go to the movies etc.

The Lord is saying that it is time to stop binding up the people of God with all these heavy burdens! The churches have begun to be like the scribes and the pharisees who were so concerned about finding fault with others that they had become blind guides, who strained at a gnat and who swallow a camel! (Matthew 23:24). Isn’t it a shame that the pulpit has become nothing more than a gossip session for men to use their gravel as if they are a judge and jury among God’s people saith the Lord!

God is saying, “My leaders have forgotten the true mission and purpose of the Church which is not to take advantage of My people, not to lord over My people, but to prepare them for the Bridegroom at His return!”

The scribes and the Pharisees were not concerned about the people of God, they were constantly bickering and finding fault, worrying about their doctrines and what the people and others were not doing, so that they “missed God!” Ask yourself, are you missing God and what he is trying to tell you in this season?

Do people in the church run from you because all you do is tell them what they can’t do? I hear God saying are you lacking wisdom and knowledge in this season and in this time! God is saying, “My people refuse to obey and are perishing for a lack of knowledge!” (Job 36:12).

God is saying are you one of those authoritarian leaders who has the microscope out trying to find faults, so you can get out the whip and tell the people all they are not doing! The cross of Christ is suppose to lead God’s people to the cross and not keep them from the cross! God’s word exhorts, encourages and warns the unruly, the feeble minded and supports the weak and is patient with all men (1 Thessalonians 5:14)!

However, this type of leadership is based upon the Roman Empire attitude: based upon the fact that many folks refused to worship the Emperor as a deity and that led to the brutal persecutions of the early Christian communities. Generally, Christians, till the fourth century, refused to do military service and this was seen as civil disloyalty to the state – a crime punishable by death.

But I’m here to tell you that God is saying you ought to be ashamed of yourself. Pulling the whip out on God’s people as if you and your holy sanctimonious self are without sin in the Kingdom of God! God is saying, “You reject the commandments of God in order to keep your own traditions sitting high. You pull out the whip, worshiping and teaching the doctrine of men” (Mark 7:7-9).

I heard God this morning saying that you and your first lady sit high in God’s kingdom. You have found one scripture that said the “elect lady” and ran with that in order to make her a position in the church; but yet you kill God’s people with one scripture in the bible to force them to obey (which is not even one of the callings or gifts mentioned in the bible) sitting upon your high throne with your heads lifted up like the Roman Empire as if you have your very on empire in the Kingdom of God!

God is saying in this very hour, He didn’t call you to abuse His people and to take advantage of them, but He called you as a servant of God! God is saying Jesus could have taken this route and called a legion of angels to fight his battle during the crucifixion, but He said His kingdom is not of this world, and if His Kingdom was of this world then would His servants fight, that He should not have been delivered of the Jews.

But He is watching you, and you are fighting every day, rebuking and killing His people, telling them what they can and cannot do, all to bring about your earthly kingdom! (John 18:36)
