Who is The LORD?
3 Words in 1
Who is The LORD?
David is commonly known as a man after God’s heart. Jesus said that if we seek we will find.
Through his years David sought. What did he discover about the LORD? These are just some of the words he uses to describe Him.
Each of these statements about God’s identity was personalized based on his experiences. As you consider the LORD and all He has done in your life, I wonder which of these words you would bear witness to in your heart.
- My Shepherd (Psalm 23).
- My Strength (Psalm 28).
- My Light (Psalm 27).
- My Rock (Psalm 18).
- My Refuge (Psalm 91).
- My Portion (Psalm 73).
- My Salvation (Psalm 27).
- My Hope (Psalm 71).
- My Song (Psalm 118).
- My Defender (Psalm 59).
- My Deliverer (Psalm 18).
- My Judge (Psalm 26).
- My Fortress (Psalm 18).
- My Helper (Psalm 118).
- My Inheritance (Psalm 16).
- My Provider (Psalm 54).
- My Protector (Psalm 28).
- My Tower (Psalm 59).
Who is He to you?
It matters not who we are…..
All glory, all honor and all majesty is due to He who willingly sacrificed himself at Calvary!
From Jesus’ first breath until His last, He lived as a servant to all of mankind. He invited us into relationship with His Father.
It matters not who we are nor is any sin beyond the reach of His forgiveness. He is the living, dying and resurrected example of God’s love… put into motion on our behalf.
The Master Craftsman
The Master Craftsman does not leave His work half finished. He does not build chairs that no one can sit in and rest. He does not build tables where no one can be fed. He does not construct prayer benches where no one can kneel before Him.
In His own time, He creates incredible masterpieces that reflect His intimate understanding of the materials He’s working with.
Without Him, we remain knotted old trees filled with imperfections. As He shapes us it is in the exact image He anticipates. As He runs the sand paper over our hearts, He removes the splinters which have pained us and hidden the inner beauty of Christ living within us.
He promises to complete the work that He began.
You see a work in progress. He sees His masterpiece.
