Who Is the Captain of Your Soul?
“But the anointing which you have received from Him remains in you, and you DO NOT need anyone to teach you. For as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and just as it has taught you, remain in Him,” 1 John 2:26–27.
People of God, it is important that we all take the time out to acknowledge the Holy Spirit in our everyday walk with God! When we pray, minister and even in the small things of life!
Because it is the little foxes that will destroy the vine that yield fruit. They do this by gnawing and breaking the little branches and leaves, and the bark, by digging holes in the vineyards, and so spoiling the roots, by eating the grapes, and in many other ways to hinder our walk with the Father, (Song of Solomon 2:15)
This is why we need the LORD to be the Captain of our souls, to lead us and to guard our souls from error; both seen and uneen!
Jesus knew this and this is why he sent the comforter the Holy Ghost to teach us, guide us, to protect us and to show us things to come!
He knew that man was incapable of doing this on his own so he left us company to talk with and to get comfort from as he transitioned off the scene!
It is such ashamed that many have refused to accept the Holy Ghost as their friend as a counselor and they have decided they either don’t want him or don’t need him and as a result they are trying to bake this cake on their own!
I can remember when my mother first taught me how to cook she instructed me that if I don’t measure my ingredients right or put any baking soda in my cake it will not rise!
Now, how is it many are resorting to Wicca; witchcraft, Voodoo and Hoodoo and other false religions to get a prophetic word in this season! Because any word that is not instructed by God is a spirit of divination!
Any word that is not a “Now” word that has been pulled out of the first and second heaven or out of your past prophesies to fool God’s people is nothing more than witchcraft!
But, I hear God say, “Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump,” (Galatians 5:7-9 KJV) COME ON SOMEBODY!
The book of 1st Samuel tells us that Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.
And the Philistines gathered themselves together, and came and pitched in Shunem: and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they pitched in Gilboa. And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled.
And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
Why, because of Sauls continued disobedience to the LORD! Before, Samuel transitioned he did everything possible to try to teach, train and to help Saul but Saul refused to listen unto him, but now that Samuel has died and Saul needed counseling he decides not only to disobey God but to cross over into a realm of the supernatural that was beyond his mantle and scope of authority the demonic!
Isn’t it sad that we can grieve the Holy Ghost so that he will walk out on the very ones that he is sent to help, protect and to instruct in this season! The scriptures warn us to grieve not the Holy Ghost!
We sometimes forget that the Holy Ghost is a person; not a thing, and or a someone! But, he has a personality and real feelings like we do.
You see, only a person can be grieved or made to become sadden by what is done or said in his presence; therefore, this Spirit must be a divine person in order to have these types of emotions (Ephesians 4:30).
So, how can we grieve him? By the way we act, think and behave in his presence!
Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. (Saul dishonored God by continuing to dig up and raising up things he was told and warned to destroy!)
And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit (He knew this Spirit was one similar to God but was not God and he took it upon himself to make a covenant relationship with a witch just to get help!) at Endor.
And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee.
And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
And Saul sware to her by the LORD , saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing. Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
In this season, I come against every witch and every warlock both scene and un-scene in this season and we break covenant, un-godly soul ties and fall out of agreement with those who are conjuring up demons and devils in this season!
Those that disguise themselves as the Five-fold ministry but are hidden in a demonic and a false covering and are disguised as the people of God (some were even once of the faith but have denied faith as evil has crept in unaware) who are no more than diviners, sorcerers, witches and warlocks walking in a false anointing (false teachings and doctrines of devils to draw disciples after them instead of the LORD) that have come to steal the destiny of others!
They are great orators that are charismatic but are hiding under false pretenses of God’s anointed covering just as Saul did when he disobeyed God and begin to walk in his own ways!
The LORD is speaking people and he is revealing that people you thought was of the faith the covers are being pulled back for all to see!
Jude said, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, (conduct that is rude, crude, and fleshy) and denying the only LORD God, and our LORD Jesus Christ.” (Jude 1:3-4)
Saul Consults a Medium
“Now Samuel had died, and all Israel had lamented for him and buried him in Ramah, in his own city. And Saul had put the mediums and the spiritists out of the land. Then the Philistines gathered together, and came and encamped at Shunem. So Saul gathered all Israel together, and they encamped at Gilboa. When Saul saw the army of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly. And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets.
Then Saul said to his servants, “Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.”
And his servants said to him, “In fact, there is a woman who is a medium at En Dor.”
So Saul disguised himself and put on other clothes, and he went, and two men with him; and they came to the woman by night. And he said, “Please conduct a séance for me, and bring up for me the one I shall name to you.”
Then the woman said to him, “Look, you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the spiritists from the land. Why then do you lay a snare for my life, to cause me to die?”
And Saul swore to her by the LORD, saying, “As the LORD lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing.”
Then the woman said, “Whom shall I bring up for you?” And he said, “Bring up Samuel for me,” 1 Samuel 28:3-11.
