Who Are the Dread Champions?
“You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You welcome me as a guest, anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.” Psalm 23:5 NLT.
LORD, I declare that YOUR DREAD CHAMPIONS are RISING UP for their HEAVENLY KING, and for their assignments now and in the days ahead.
LORD, that the enemy will continue to be EXPOSED wherever he is at and YOUR STRATEGIES TO OVERCOME HIM will be given to your BELOVEDS.
LORD THAT YOUR DREAD CHAMPIONS WILL OVERCOME EVERYTHING that the enemy has planned against YOU and YOUR PEOPLE, because of YOU, LORD and their hearts for YOU, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

WHAT IS A DREAD CHAMPION?
DREAD CHAMPIONS were the “CHAMPIONS” for the KING, during the time of chivalry.
Being chosen as the DREAD CHAMPION or One that others “DREADED” to fight because of their abilities and reputation, was a GREAT HONOR for a knight, as he was chosen by the KING to represent the region or nation the KING controlled.
The DREAD CHAMPION fought for the KING and the country, usually in individual battles or a contest against the champion of another KING.
Whichever champion won the battle of war or contest, that nation won, the territory or people being fought over.
Using the DREAD CHAMPION in a war, also saved many lives, as others would not have to fight. We would believe that GOD was with the DREAD CHAMPION who won.

“But the LORD is with me as a mighty and terrible One {a DREAD CHAMPION]; therefore my persecutors will stumble and they will not overcome [me]. They will be utterly put to shame, for they will not deal wisely or prosper [in their schemes}; their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten.” Jeremiah 20:11 AMP.
God said, “MY DREAD CHAMPIONS are the ONES who are STANDING TALL WITH ME, NO MATTER WHAT. My Hand is upon them to fight for Me.
These are the ones who have SOUGHT MY HEART, more than the heart and opinions of men.
These are the ones who are willing to sacrifice themselves for ME, MY WORD, AND MY PROMISES.
These are the ones who MY HEART REJOICES OVER!
Where are those walk in the shoes of Prophets like Samuel, Moses, Jeremiah, Hosea, John the Baptist, Elijah, Elisha, and others?
These are those who speak for Me and STAND TALL for Me and MY WORD, with courage, boldness, and forthrightness.
These are those who have MY LOVE, TRUTH, RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND JUSTICE foremost in their hearts.
These are those who have pledged to serve Me all the days of their lives and consecrated themselves to ME.
THESE ARE THOSE WHO DON’T BOW DOWN to the hearts and minds of men, because things weren’t done in man’s timing.
THESE ARE THOSE WHO DON’T BOW DOWN to the hearts and minds of men, because men are threatening to take away their endorsement, their friendship, or their financial pledges.
Where are those who TRUST ME, DO NOT DOUBT MY WORD OR MY PROMISES, OR MY PROVISION AND PROTECTION FOR THEM? For these are MY DREAD CHAMPIONS.
Where are those Prophets of God who still stand with ME? These are the ones who are coming forth even now as MY DREAD CHAMPIONS. These are the ones who truly have earned My Name on their forehead.
For they have withstood and are withstanding the onslaught of condemnation, accusation, and opposition from the hearts and minds of man.
These are the Ones who are STANDING TALL WITH ME, NO MATTER WHAT.
These are the ones who have SOUGHT MY HEART, more than the heart and opinions of men.
These are the ones who are willing to sacrifice themselves for ME, MY WORD, AND MY PROMISES.
These are the ones who MY HEART REJOICES OVER! THESE ARE THE TRUE PROPHETS OF GOD. For even the elect will fall to the wiles and deceits of the enemy. I AM separating the tares / chaff from the wheat.”
“And the nations shall see your [God’s] righteousness and vindication [your God’s] righteousness and justice – not your own, but His ascribed to you, and all kings shall behold your[God’s] salvation and glory; and you shall be called by a new name which the mouth of the LORD shall name.” Isaiah 62:2 AMP.
“He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). To him who overcomes (conquerors), I will give to eat of the manna that is hidden, and I will give him a white stone with a new name engraved on the stone, which no one knows or understands except he, who receives it.” Revelation 2:17 AMP.
“He who overcomes (is victorious), I will make him a pillar in the sanctuary of My GOD; he shall never be put out of it or go out of it, and I will write on him the name of My GOD and the name of the city of My GOD, the new Jerusalem, which descends from My GOD out of Heaven, and My own new name.” Revelation 3:12 AMP.
“24 Yeshua put before them another parable. “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while people were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, then went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads of grain, the weeds also appeared. 27 The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where have the weeds come from?’ 28 He answered, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants asked him, ‘Then do you want us to go and pull them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, because if you pull up the weeds, you might uproot some of the wheat at the same time. 30 Let them both grow together until the harvest; and at harvest-time I will tell the reapers to collect the weeds first and tie them in bundles to be burned, but to gather the wheat into my barn.’” Matthew 13:24-30 CJB.

Thank you for this. I was reading Fathered by God by John Eldridge and he mentioned “Dread Champion.” Your website post came up while doing an intervener search. It spoke deeply to me and encouraged my heart. Thank you!
Yesterday I was feeling down in my Spirit. I saw so many professing Christians doubting the words spoken by the Prophets. Doubting Gods’ promises. I went to the Lord, because I was fearful that the lack of faith of the many, would override the faith of the few. I prayed, Lord will their lack of faith, override my faith and the faith of others, or will you honor our faith. The Lord assured me that our faith WILL be honored and rewarded.
As I sit here typing this I am reminded of school days many years ago. There was a time of teaching and a time of testing. When the test began the teacher would say BEGIN. After the proscribed amount of time the teacher would say TIME IS UP turn over your papers. You would then be graded on your test and a grade of pass or fail would be given. Sometimes the grades would be posted on the bulletin board for all to see. Let us all trust the Lord so that when this is over we will be known as those that passed the test.
