Where Is Your Treasure?
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
Where Is Your Treasure?
Where is your treasure,
Here or in Heaven?
Where is your inheritance,
Here or in Heaven?
Where have you placed your hope,
In man or Jesus?
Where have you placed your heart,
In your hands or His?
Have you placed your faith
In the promises of men
Or in the promises of God?
Have you placed your faith
In the works of men
Or in the Grace of God?
Have you placed your faith
In the temporal or in the everlasting?
Oh your treasure is greater than fine jewels
Oh your treasure is greater than silver and gold
Oh your treasure is greater than any earthly possession
All these are fleeting, never lasting
Oh your inheritance awaits you in Heaven;
It rests with Jesus
And is greater than you could ever imagine!
So turn in your earthly riches for that One True Treasure
Lasting and everlasting
Let His Light shine in you; His Treasure sparkling through
Lasting and everlasting
For where your treasure is
Your heart will be also
And remember His Love for you,
You are His Treasure—one of a kind
Where is your treasure,
Here or in Heaven?
Where is your inheritance,
Here or in Heaven?
Where have you placed your hope,
In man or Jesus?
Where have you placed your heart,
In your hands or His?
Oh the greatest treasure lies within
Oh the greatest treasure is His Glory:
His Resurrection Power and Riches
So let Him crown you with His Goodness
Let your paths drip with abundance
They drop on the pastures of the wilderness,
And the little hills rejoice on every side
Everywhere you go there is such rejoicing!
Look yonder, the pastures are clothed with flocks;
The valleys covered with grain
Shout with them in joy!
Sing with them, beloveds!
For your treasure lies in Him!
Where is your treasure,
Here or in Heaven?
Where is your inheritance,
Here or in Heaven?
Where have you placed your hope,
In man or Jesus?
Where have you placed your heart,
In your hands or His?
So don’t worry about anything
Instead pray about everything
Tell God your needs
And don’t forget to thank Him for His Answers
For He will always be your true treasure
“You crown the year with Your Goodness, and Your Paths drip with abundance. They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, and the little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered with grain; they shout for joy, they also sing.” Psalm 65:11-13.
“In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:11-14
“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will — to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,” Ephesians 1:4-8
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith — more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire — may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:3-9

I have just realized the interesting thing is everyone’s tune will be different as we sing these lovely words. What a glorious harmony in Heaven
Dear Valerie,
What a lovely revelation! Yes! How I sing them is different than how another would and perhaps that is The Father’s purpose so that there is as you have said, “a glorious harmony in Heaven”.
Thank you for sharing and God bless you!
