Where Is Your Faith?
Is It in Horses, Chariots, or the Egyptians?

 

Dream

I was given a horse (color brown) to take care of but the problem was the horse could step over the fence like a human.

I struggled with how I could keep this horse in the pasture without him getting out!

I remember in the dream even contemplating taking my furniture out the back room to keep him locked up, but I said what about my children when they come to visit where will they sleep?

Then I saw some space outside where I could take a gate and keep the horse locked up, but I realized the horse would not have space to run around in so that would not work.

After thinking about all the things I could do I looked up and I saw a horse fold his legs under him and he went to sleep.

I thought to myself, “I did all this worrying and the horse sleeps at night and he is not thinking about running away!”

What is it that God was trying to tell me in this dream, I thought?

Interpretation and Application

Horse: Instruments of battle; power and strength of the flesh; time period of work; a powerful work of God on the earth, in the Spirit; tenaciousness, single-mindedness and aggressiveness; in transportation: battle; not to trust in over the name of the LORD.

This would carry over into our modern day weapons and modes of transport, (Proverbs 21:31; Isaiah 31:1-3).

This is what I am hearing God say, that this horse has no prophetic color, because it is a weapon of the flesh and God does not want His People in this season, to place their hope in the things of the flesh like the Egyptians did, for their ultimate help, protection or provision as their main resources, as some would think as I did in this dream.

A boss man gave me this horse and I was doing everything in my power to ensure its safety! But, Isaiah 31:1-3 KJV, warns us,

“Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; (in the dream this horse walked over the fence like a man took steps) but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit.

When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helped shall fall, and he that is helped shall fall down, and they all shall fail together. “

Why? Because like the dream I was doing things not by acknowledging God but Instead I was trying to work it out my own self.

And, not by God’s divine timing!

While I was trying to run around working it out myself I looked up “laughing out loud” and the horse was doing what God designed it to do; sleeping!

No doubt he was tired of me making a complete fool of myself as we do when we fail to trust and acknowledge God; first and foremost in our lives!

God said to me to say to His People,

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal.”

As I did this horse trying to protect it when no one could one hundred percent guarantee it would not get out and run away; especially when it had the ability to walk over a fence like a man.

Isn’t that just like the world we live in their are no real guarantees everything will be alright and all we have is faith in God!

“But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

For after all these things do the Gentiles seek….

“For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof,” Matthew 6:19-34 KJV.
