Where is the God of Miracles?
Is it not sad, to say the least, when you look and see nothing fresh and new?
Sadness wells up in you for those who are living in the past on reports only of a miracle move of God.
I was sitting in a Bible Study listening to Pastor teach, and what he said was: “I just love to read the stories of great miracles of God; it brings such joy to my heart to hear them again and again.”
I raised my hand to be recognized and the Pastor stopped and ask: “Do you want to say something?”
“Yes,” I answered, “What I really want to hear about is, what is The LORD saying and doing today — right now? The past is nice — but I want to see a New and Fresh Miracle.”
He looked at me like a calf looking at a new gate. [An old cowboy saying, to express how a calf reacts to an new gate when he first see it].
There was, for a moment, a strange question in his eyes, then the expression turned to what appeared almost anger.
I saw anger was in his eyes and I knew he wished I would just shut up and listen to his beautiful Bible Story.
And the Story that day was beautiful, but it was The LORD that happened in the far past.
What I longed to hear was a fresh new experience of the real God working.
I longed for The LORD to work today His miracles right before “my own eyes” and to see with fresh newness the reality of the Glory of God.
I thought to myself, they are living on past miracles, past revivals, past glory! What they need is a New Gate into The Glory of God, leading them into a new day of His Glory.
I am afraid that most Believers today have never seen or experienced a Real Move of God, nor have they ever experienced the Power of God Manifested.
All they have is stories from the past.
I’m thinking now of the Story of Gideon who threshed wheat at night because of the Midianites had come upon Israel to bondage, in Judges 6,
“Gideon threshed wheat bu the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites. And the angel of The LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.
Gideon said to Him, “O [c]my lord, if The LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did not The LORD bring us up from Egypt?’ ……. But now The LORD has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.” Judges 6:11-13 emphasis added.
Yes, Gideon believed in God, but he had only heard of the mighty miracles God worked with his fathers.
He knew only the stories that had been told to him of a Miracle Working God.
Gideon asked: Where is The LORD God of Miracles whom I have heard about — and where are His Miracles?
I fear that many today have only heard of the mighty miracles and like Gideon, they must cry out: “Where is this God of Miracles?”
If this God of Miracles showed up in their Church and lives, would they even know what happened?
For all they have ever heard is that He is a God of great Miracles.
Many try to explain The Power of God and His Glory — but cannot fully — for they have never experienced them!

GLORY TO GOD FOR YOUR MIRACLE WORKING POWER AND THANK YOU HOLY SPIRIT FOR EMPOWERING US TO HELP US TO LAY HANDS ON THE SICK TO SEE THEM RECOVER & CAUSE MIRACLE HEALINGS TO MANIFEST-EVEN NOW IN THE NAME OF
JESUS!! “AS HE IS- SO ARE WE IN THE WORLD!!”1JOHN 4:17
Not only have we not seen the miracles that GOD can do but we severely underestimate and under expect what GOD can do. Too many look back to the Azuza Street revival with awe wishing for that now, yet that was a mere speck compared to the pulling of the children of Israel out of bondage. What we need is something on the order of that miracle because without it our nation is being overwhelmed by darkness.

[ HKP : “I’m not a calf, but I can have a say if you run into a door. When it came to the funeral of my late husband. I had to learn that my responsible (regional church) pastor literally left me out in the rain. A pastor of a Pentecostal church offered me his church premises and held a memorial service. This then led to me coming to a loving community. Not everything that looks like a disaster ends in disaster. God’s ways are wonderful.” ]
