Where Does the Soul Go?
Where does the soul go to find rest amidst the torment and the unfolding sorrow?
Does it lie down in ancient cathedrals of stone or does it find solace in the pastures beyond? Or rather, does it take flight amid the clouds circling above?
When the torrents of sorrow and forsaken love encompass, may we find peace above. For there only can my soul find rest.
For within this frame of flesh and bone, my soul is free. It wanders beyond in forests dark and hidden. It circles and soars above the waves, and down lonely roads of times forgotten and yet not lost.
No one can share in that sorrow and joy but he alone must bear it. For the depths of that only he knows and none other. It cannot be bottled-up and kept in some vessel, for it must roam free unencumbered. It must explore the highest heaven and descend to the darkest dungeon down below.
We alone are ourselves Spirit and not a frame of flesh. This tent this structure, that confines us, does not contain us. That innermost self, that spirit that us, is forever.
It is immortal and is meant to be free. And yet that freedom must find itself in the bosom of God, for He Himself is Spirit and Truth.
So soar and find solace there and climb the stairs, and forget the chains that have bound you. The darkness alone cannot hold you.
You may explore the depths of despair and become crushed with sorrow and grief, but yet again you will soar amid the cliffs.
Selah,

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to The LORD is a special way in 1975 and has prophesied regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
