When you Cry Out, I will know you are Serious!
I hear so many, passing thought, by the way, need a little help, bless me, and what I’m doing prayers, but what gets My attention, are the Crying Out Prayers.
Like the man when he heard that I was within hearing distance, began to cry out, and say, ‘Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me,’ Mark 10:47. I know when I AM your last resort and when I AM a passing thought. Many times you will go through a hundred ‘passing thought prayers’ before I hear you utter a ‘last resort prayer.’
Many passing thought prayers, start out with, Lord if it be your will. However, “the effectual fervent, crying out, prayer of a righteous man gains much, ” James 5:16.
Answering prayers is not always that simple, because you have an enemy that wants to destroy your faith in Me. He will do all he can to cause you to give up. He will fight My answers coming through the atmosphere to make you think I have abandoned you. Just like when Gabriel said to Daniel, “Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to discipline yourself before God, your words were heard, and I am come because of your words. [13] But the evil prince of the kingdom of Persia fought me for twenty one days: but then, Michael, one of heaven’s chief princes, came to help me,” Daniel 10:12-13.
Here is a crying out testimony from David: “I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord : I will keep thy statutes. I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies. [147] I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word,” Psalm 119:145-147.
He was serious, not half hearted. The majority of western believers prayers are not answered because they are half hearted, or selfish. They lack desperation, faith, and commitment. These all cause double mindedness, and “a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing from Me,” James 1:6-8 KJV.
On the other hand, “all things work together for good to them that love Me, and who are the called according to My purpose,” Romans 8:28. It is then that you can be sure that, “I am your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. [3] Though the waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling, [4] there is a river, the streams whereof shall make you glad, in My presence in the holy place of the tabernacle of the most High. [5] When I am in the midst of you; you shall not be moved: I will help you, and that right early. [10] So be still, and know that I am God: because of your testimony, I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. [11] Just know that I, the Lord of hosts is with you; and I am your refuge,” Psalm 46:1,3-5,10-11.
Bottom line: When you want to hear from heaven, get serious!
