When things are best left unsaid
Some people brag about their ability to say what ever they feel, calling it transparent, however this is can also be called undisciplined and crude. Feelings can never be trusted and therefore should never be the determining factor of when to speak or what to say. When the tongue is controlled by feelings hell speaks, because, “the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among your members, that it defiles the whole body of believers, and sets everyone in its path on fire ; and it is set on fire of hell,” James 3:6.
Never brag about being able to say whatever you feel, but warn people when you meet them by saying, or better yet wear a sign saying:
“Caution: I am dangerous to be around, because I am cruel, undisciplined and stupid when I speak. Even if you never say a word, if I don’t like the way you look, I will cut you to pieces if I feel like it. Just be warned that I am not smart enough to know when things are better left unsaid! If you don’t want to get burned by fire from hell stay away from me!” |
“The speech of a kingdom person is always with grace, seasoned with salt, knowing how he ought to answer every man, because his tongue is controlled by My Spirit, not your feelings”! Colossians 4:6.
“When truth is spoken in love it may hurt someone’s feelings, but it is a healthy hurt, causing a ‘Godly sorrow leading to repentance and bringing the person to salvation not to be repented of again: but when you speak what you feel it brings the sorrow of the world causing death,'” 2 Corinthians 7:10.
There is a time to speak and a time to be silent (Ecclesiastes 3:7), and you have no idea which is which, so the kingdom person let’s My Spirit do the talking. Because he is never politically correct, there will be times they will want to kill you when they hear the words He speaks through you, John 5:18.
Those words will always be kingdom words of truth coming against the lies of darkness. These words empower the angelic hosts to do war in the heavens, “against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places,” Ephesians 6:12.
The kingdom person knows when things are best left unsaid and will not cast his pearls before swine, and his speech and his preaching will not with enticing, or cruel words of ungodly wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 1 Corinthians 2:4.
