When the Religious Spirit is Offended
When the religious spirit is offended at God’s chosen choices!
As I was meditating upon The LORD, He let me know that we are living in perilous times when people are not only offended with one another, but they are offended with the choices that God; Himself is making in this season!
Jesus, who was a carpenter’s son, was criticized because they (people who were familiar to him) couldn’t believe that God would call somebody from such a common family as Joseph’s son!
And when He was come into His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said,
“Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?”
And they were offended (annoyed, resentful or full of insults) in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief, (Matthew 13:54-58 KJV)
We are living in perilous times where people are so fascinated with what they see with their natural eyes. If they are not careful, they will end up missing what a God is doing in this season all together!
Many folks cannot accept what God is doing, because they are familiar with the person’s past and they refuse to see that God is a God of transformation and that what a person use to do, is not who they are now!
I can only imagine how Jesus must have been so excited to go home and to try to win those whom He had grown up with, and to share the good news with them; only to be rejected by them!
These same people refused to see the gold in His life. They seem to have been offended and full of bitterness that God would even think of choosing somebody who came from a common family and who did hard labor and served the community!
That was even though, with their own mouths, they testified that there was truly something different about Him, such as the wisdom by which he spake from and all the mighty works that He had done testified on His behalf, that He was who He said He was.
Yet they still, because of the hardness of their hearts, found fault of His claims to be the Son of God.
In this season, I believe God is saying that as He begins to raise up a new breed of leadership in His Name, there will be many who shall be rejected and their identity questioned, because, like Jesus, people will be familiar their past and where they come from.
For Jesus, the people in His home town, instead of accepting His transformation into His Father’s Kingdom, looked down upon Him, because they couldn’t believe God would call a carpenter’s son – somebody who serviced others in their city!
But how many know that it is in the heart of the servant that the true gold truly lies, and not so much on the outside of a man’s heart, as the religious folk think.
But Jesus said unto them, “A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house,” and so He did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
However; when Jesus sent the disciples out, He gave the disciples a set of instructions and wisdom to help them on their journey to follow, that would help them to be successful in their mission and mandate.
He said,
“Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
And as ye go, preach, saying, warn them that the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Something the Church has failed to do by warning of the rapture and the second coming of Christ, hell fire.
“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,”
Go not looking for honorary pay and the best hotels.
“….. nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
And when you go into a household, greet it. (If) the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it.
But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.”
Because everybody May not be accepting of the released word in your mouth.
“And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them,” (Matthew 10: 5-14)
Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. (Matthew 10:15 KJV)
For, if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry? (Luke 23:31)
~ Apostle Geraldine Fisher
Apostle Geraldine Fisher has a World-Wide-Social Media Net-Work Ministry. As a Missionary, God moved her into the Office of a Prophet, revealing to her the qualities of a True prophet, humility, humiliation, loving others, interceding in prayer, as she keeps her own life clean to accurately hear from God. Since hearing the audible voice of God calling her to ministry, she’s been called to intercede and pray for others in ministry as God speaks, instructs, directs and gives prophetic words for her to give to others. God promised He would bring her to sit and to learn before great men, all of which He did!
Amen

Numbers 6:22-27
The Priestly Blessing
22 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:
24
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
25
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26
The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.” ’
27 “So they shall [b]put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”
