When the Perfect Has Come
When the perfect has come, is the time of the glory to come.
Then, we will see God face to face and we will know as we have been known. ETERNALLY!
“But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.”
“Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.” 1 Corinthians 13:8-10 NKJV
The perfect to come and that which is in part to be done away is revealed by John in Revelation 21.
“I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more. I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.” Revelation 21:1-4.
In the glory to that is to come, God’s dwelling will be with His people. Then, we will see God face to face and we will know as we have been known.
Paul was born again by the Holy Spirit, so he saw and entered the kingdom and was led by the Spirit. Yet he recognized this was only part of being called into God’s kingdom and glory, (1 Thessalonians 2:12).
He explained:
“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.” 1 Corinthians 13:11-12 NKJV.
“Just as we have borne the likeness of the man who was made from dust, we will also bear the likeness of the man from heaven.” 1 Corinthians 15:49 ISV (1 Corinthians 15:40-51; John 5:21; Romans 5:14; Colossians 3:4; Philippians 3:20-21)
“When Messiah, our life, is revealed, then we will also be revealed with him in glory.”
“If then you were raised together with Messiah, seek the things that are above, where Messiah is, seated on the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Messiah in God. When Messiah, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.” Colossians 3:1-4 (Made alive with Messiah — Colossians 2:8-23)
“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Yeshua the Messiah, who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.” Titus 2:11-14.
