When Ministers Sent by God Are Taken Without Adequate Replacement
The Vacuum, Great Loss and Desolation, That Comes When Ministers Sent by God Are Taken Without Adequate Replacement
We underestimate how great the loss is, when those “sent” by God into our lives, cities and regions are “taken” either to be with The LORD or reassigned to another constituency.
To those who rejected His Ministry while on earth, The LORD said,
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of The LORD,” Matthew 23:37-29.
The LORD described His Ministry to them as a mother hen that gathered her chickens under her wings — meaning, He was sent for their protection, cover and guide.
However, The LORD told them the consequences of their consistent resistance of His assignment to them — one, He will be taken away from them, and secondly, they will be become desolate.
History tells us what became of Jerusalem years after The LORD Jesus Christ departed the earth, Jerusalem was ravaged.
However, there’s also something significant to note about those who received His Ministry.
The people came to The LORD Jesus Christ speaking and comparing the mannerisms of the disciples of John to the disciples of The LORD Jesus — telling The LORD how His disciples ate and enjoyed themselves, while the disciples of John where always fasting.
Here’s Jesus’s response to them.
“Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not? And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast,” Matthew 9:14-15.
In other words, while The LORD Jesus remained with them, He was as the mother hen, covering, providing, caring, fighting for them and being all they would ever have prayed for.
Nevertheless, Jesus told them, “but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast”.
The departure of “Ministers Sent Of The LORD” either to be with The LORD or by reassignment can create a huge vacuum in the spirit, if not adequately filled.
Like a mother hen, the absence of a gatekeeper, a guardian of profound authority, a watchman with righteous precision in direction over peoples and cities leaves the gates wide open, for hordes of demons that were hitherto held back to come in and prey on the young — leaving the city desolate.
We live in a world that’s setup to kill her prophets, and maim those sent of God with authority to deliver and lead into Gods promise.
“Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify, and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar,” Matthew 23:34-35.
Far too many have killed those sent by God to them in their hearts and with their tongue — hence these ones were taken away from them and their houses were left desolate.
Knowing the significance of His departure, The LORD prayed for the release of Ministry Of The Holy Spirit to keep His own.
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever, Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him, for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you,” John 14:16-18.
It is important to recognize those sent of The LORD to you, to stand as a mother hen, keeping you guarded under righteous wings.
However, if by your actions, they be taken out of the way without an adequate righteous replacement in stature and authority, it’ll only take a matter of time, and the porous gates will be flooded, and demonic thieves will come in and make the house desolate.
“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom The LORD shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming,” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8.
Nations, Cities, Families, Churches have lost great men of God sent as gifts to them with obvious fatal consequences that befell the next generation.
It costs The Kingdom a great deal in time and in investment to raise up a righteous gatekeeper of stature and authority.
It’s your responsibility to discern and receive the priceless gift they are.
We see that though The LORD Jesus Christ promised to send another Comforter, He also made it clear that when the bridegroom is taken, His disciples will have to fast.
While He was with them, The Scripture records how Jesus will wake up early, go up the mountain to pray — covering, fighting, laboring for them as a mother hen, while they rested and enjoyed liberties.
Honor dearly those who labor over you in The LORD, you don’t know how much benefit accrues to you for their sake.
