When Life Gets So Infested
So when life gets so infested…. our Faith truly gets tested!
I can so relate to that here lately, and a show of hands out there, I am sure I am not alone!
Your kids are screaming, the dog is chewing up your best pair of shoes, your best friend acting crazy like they just lost their mind, your job is like entering the gates of hell, and that driver just cut you off on the highway and it was a, “Help me Jesus! I don’t have the bail money moment!”
And perhaps you was so close to that breakthrough and you thought this is it, it is happening and it all fell apart and didn’t happen that time.
And this is just a few examples!
Sometimes it is hard to live in the eye of a tornado and still keep that eye on truth.
Jesus makes a promise to us saying, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
You may not have it all figured out.
I don’t have it all figured out!
You may feel totally discombobulated, or like me sometimes you may be just one more hot mess, but you have a Glorious Father, a Comforter who comes alongside you to let you know He has got this.
To let you know to just be still and know that He is God!
Don’t let everything in you get so worked up, but look up!
I could shout Amen! Right there….
From an excerpt of a book by Max Lucado,
“Let God finish His work. Let the composer complete His symphony. The forecast is simple. Good days. Bad days. But God is in all days. He is The LORD of the famine and the feast, and He uses both to accomplish His Will.”
I am telling yall — our breakthroughs are coming through and the devil needs get out of the way!
Jesus Christ Has Overcome the World
“These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father. 26 In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; 27 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God. 28 I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”
29 His disciples said to Him, “See, now You are speaking plainly, and using no figure of speech! 30 Now we are sure that You know all things, and have no need that anyone should question You. By this we believe that You came forth from God.”
31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:25-33.
