When He calls us to speak, to move, to step, to choose, He is calling us into the more of Him — to embrace the mystery of all He is.

He calling us deeper! When Jesus called His disciples to step out onto the water, He knew that what He was asking would challenge their sight, their hearing, their touch, their knowing, but He called them out anyway.

Shame and regret have no place in Him, and when we step into His marvelous Light, all of that falls away.

He wants us to choose freely, because He knows how full our hearts will be when we make the determined, trusting choice to step out, looking straight into His eyes that burn with such love and passion.

That one single step onto the water wasn’t really for Him, but for them. He wanted their confidence to grow as they bravely step in tune with His vision, he wanted their faith to become known to them in a way they had never before experienced, for them to realize that despite the fear they felt, they could hold their focus on the One that truly mattered.

So He says to us right now:

“Speak, even if your voice is trembling or slightly shaking

Believe, it’ll be worth the risk you’re taking

Step, my arms are beneath you

What you make of this very moment will change everything.”
