When Faith is Hard to Find
Have you ever been in a place or time when it is hard to believe?
I’m sure you have, and so have I.
When your circumstances get difficult, you can either run to Jesus, or run away in disillusionment.
Life is hard, but The LORD did promise He would be with you and always be ready to help, but when you take our eyes off of The LORD for any amount of time you are taking a step backward.
So, what do you do when you feel dry, discouraged, or even bored in your walk with God.
First of all, you need to take your eyes off what’s going wrong around you and then you need to look full onto Jesus, at what is true and right.
Turn off the news, the bad news, and be willing to change your perspective and look with new eyes for your life.
Remember, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever — so He has not changed. He loves you, He is still there with you, and He is still for you and your success.
Renew your prayer life. Many times prayer is the first thing to go when we get discouraged. Before you know it, you may have left it off all together.
This is the worst thing you can do. Keep the communication lines open. Jesus wants to hear from you, He is your Lord and He is concerned when the relationship is strained.
He wants to talk to you too. He is ready and willing to help, to lead you on in hope.
Also, Pray in the Spirit with tongues as much as you can, and you will be amazed at how your faith will be stirred and encouraged, filled with revelation knowledge.
Most importantly, get in The Word of God. You can’t forsake reading The Word. Take heed my friend, do an about face and get back to reading the Word of God.
It’s a life line, and the men and women of The Bible have their life stories that may be similar to yours and you can be encouraged by them and know you are not alone.
Remember faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, it will build you up and bring you grace and understanding in your time of need.
When you need faith, when you need instruction, and when you need hope , you can find it in the Word.
Refresh your memory of the promises of God for you from His Word, and speak them over yourself.
Change your confession and stop being negative. After all, the bible was written to and for you to help you.
Let the Spirit of God lead you through, and don’t be led by what you see or hear going on around you, for there is much deception in the world, especially right now.
Remember faith must be cultivated, nourished, and exercised.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says:
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
In Him you live and move and have your being. He is your all in all.
You are in a war, and right now in America it is a war of words. I don’t believe I have ever heard so much conflicting information.
It is a war on your mind, and mine, you need to come against the lies and renew our minds with the Word of God.
If it doesn’t, throw it out. Speak out the Truth of His word and you will see changes occur in your life. Jesus Christ and His Word are your plumb-line.
My friend, trust in The LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.
The Father is ever faithful. I want to encourage you to take steps NOW to draw near to God if you are down in your walk with The LORD.
He is ready to draw near to you. I know that when you take steps to move forward with Him in faith, He will meet you with His faith.
And don’t forget to keep company with people of faith, don’t try to go it alone.
The Bible says iron sharpens iron, and as you come together with other believers you will be encouraged and strengthened.
Have faith in God! Hope in Him, and you will not be ashamed!
God Bless You, you are in my prayers
