What’s That I Hear?
Many are going to be deceived. I said to myself just now, oh no, I don’t want to do this.
There are times when you would rather not approach certain issues; but if you are truly called, appointed and anointed of God, you must.
Let’s make a special note of the word “truly.” There are qualifications for every office of the Ministry in The Church.
Let’s be clear, none of these Ministries are exempt from manifesting The Fruit of The Spirit. The Scripture says that we should. “make our calling and election sure.” (2 Peter 1:10).
Not everyone is called into the Ministry; such as the Five-fold kind.
LORD Jesus help me! This is getting hard.
Jesus said He did not call many of these people….. In a polite way, they called themselves.
I can already feel a backlash pushing about what I’m being impressed to write here. If we were instructed not to question Church figures in authority, we may have blindly taken some of these orders.
As to these prophets in particular, Jesus said He did not call them. He didn’t know who called them — and we need to hear that today.
Here we go. There are so many people calling themselves apostles and prophets. They are speaking boldly and professing all these different things. Especially on Facebook lately.
We need to refresh our memory about how we know a true prophet/ prophetess. It’s by their fruit. Since we don’t know much about what that fruit looks like, we only need to go back to The Fruit of The Spirit.
Then a true prophet must be humble, meek, kind, and full of The Holy Ghost.
If The Spirit actually moves you to speak, you can be firm and on time without being loud and harsh — even if it’s about correction.
How do you know these apostles and prophets are genuine or not? You discern them, just as we were instructed to do.
Also, there is an uncertain sound to what they are saying. That’s normally because there is a lot of flesh in it; self always acts like self.
I don’t call myself anything. I don’t need any title to do what God has sent me to do.
In too many of these proclamations, they seem to always begin with the word “I” or most often. Somebody has to address this issue. I only wish it didn’t have to be me.
If you have the right Spirit, you don’t want to tear down anyone — no matter who they are.
Why is this subject important?
Because many are being deceived, right now. Led astray, by being lukewarm or being filled up with the commandments of men.
Praise singers started out as a good thing. I started a team myself years ago. But it’s changed.
What we once called “the platform” was a sacred place. What it looks like now totally overwhelms me. In many places, it looks like a disco.
Many of these “Praise Singers”, need to put down their microphones and go stand out in the congregation and sing.
A friend of mine spoke on Facebook lately that you cannot even hear the congregation singing! This show going on, has to stop, and it will!
You can’t fight the true Anointing and you can’t substitute it either. This is a distraction.
I, meaning me, do not need to declare and decree and prophesy about anything. It should be the voice of The LORD speaking. We know the difference.
Could it be that some are making idols of themselves, even on Facebook?
When you put your face to the floor, you can’t see yourself. We seem to have forgotten, that The LORD said in this time, there would be many false prophets. We were warned of false apostles, false prophets, false teachers and false brethren.
You see, we are going to need all of the Power we can get in the days ahead — I am absolutely sure of that!
If there’s going to be a great outpouring of The Spirit, and I believe there is, devils are going to start acting up like many of us saw them do before.
Can anyone understand that we desperately need healing?
So many are down and out, depressed, beat all to pieces and are pressed, way out of measure.
We need to be ministering to one another, without fail.
The crux of the matter is, if you’re caught up in someone else’s talk, you will not have the strength for what you need today, because some of what you’re hearing, may not be real.
I’ve gleaned a lot of wonderful ministry and strength on Facebook, especially this past year. Some of the most anointed messengers I’ve ever heard.
It helped me so much when I was ill, and had no one else to talk to. I told them so.
But some of this other, is like scratching your fingers on a blackboard.
I am shocked at what some people are going off the deep end and declaring. It’s too late to fall down now and not get back up. Too close to home, to give up.
We must discern The Truth.
~ Robert Blackburn
The comments about worship singing ring clear. I’m less informed about what is at issue regarding people’s alleged prophecy. Then again, I don’t tool around very much in “Fedbook/Fascistbook” which actually is under God’s judgment as is Google. But thank you. It’s time to be cautious with what is inadequate as prophecy and with Christian leadership and to be aggressive with what is sure.
Yes, I know several people who hang on every word a prophet says even if it contradicts the bible. They say, this person has been to heaven. This is very dangerous territory. I too have been fooled. I spend more time in the word and prayer. I believe that’s the key.
