What ‘The Law’ Could Not Do
‘The Law’ could not save men, but it could only teach men just how much they had offended The Holy God.
God never even intended that The Law was a means of Salvation. The fact is, The Law was in only in one way even [a beginning part] of salvation; it was and is the teacher of what sin really is and just how far men have fallen from that Truth.
The Law was a ‘schoolmaster’, teaching what is wrong with men and why they are sinners. It taught men the facts by comparing men and their sin to The Law.
Because of The Law, men do understand just how far they are from God, and what is wrong with them.
If there had ever been a Law given that could have saved men, then the Scriptures would talk about such a Law as the way to be saved.
Instead of The Law way, we read about Jesus the way, the only way!
The Law could only to bring men to conviction of their sin, it couldn’t bring men to acceptance with God.
Unless a man finds himself convicted of his sin, he cannot repent. If a man does not fully know why he is lost and condemned, then how can he repent?
The Scriptures tell us Jesus said: “Except you repent — you have no part with Me”.
Therefore, men are admonished everywhere to repent.
Repent of what? Repent of the failure to be able to keep The Law perfectly!
No religion of law keeping ‘works’ can save men! No man can save himself or other men, but only Jesus.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No man can come unto the father but by Jesus.
Jesus said, “Come and follow Me, come!”
The Law is not the straight and narrow way. The way is Christ Jesus The LORD. Jesus said to many while on earth: without me, you can do nothing!
Jesus is not only the way, but he is the door by which you enter in. Not only is Jesus the door, but Jesus is the bread of God that gives life.
Not only is Jesus ‘the bread’, He is ‘The Great Shepherd’ of the sheep, and Jesus leads them in and out of His Sheepfold.
All others who try to lead the sheep are thieves and robbers and try climbing in another way!
The Law will lead men only to condemnation. The fact is the more a man reads The Law and Commandments, the more he is condemned and aware of his sinfulness. He will see his sin and sin exceeding sinful.
The Law will only hurt not help, and it will make a man sorry and sad.
Jesus can make a man every wit whole and then put in joy and gladness.
The Law can only bring one down into discouragement.
Before you wish to try to defend salvation by works of The Law, you should read:
“For The Law of The Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from The Law of sin and death. For what The Law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of The Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after The Spirit.” Romans 8:2-4.
The Law will only make you run to Jesus! Running away from that fire mountain of the holiness of God.
No, The Law will only burn, it will only bring pain. The Law will kill, but The Spirit of Life in Jesus Christ will bring peace.
Conclusion:
The Law cannot save men, only Jesus died to save men from their sins and ever lives to give them life, and life more abundantly.

Just this morning the Lord was speaking to me that therefore there truly is now no condemnation in Christ, but that satin stands condemned. Judgement is released against sin in man, but not man himself, the Cross completely took care of it….completely. It truly is finished. Praise God!! So when the condemners rise up, releasing this deception, we can boldly say, forgiven.
And I love that God is doing such an incredible work in me, making and molding me into His very own Image, which is only in His Power alone to finish the work….but praise God, He’s promised He will and He never lies.
Bless your beautiful heart Mr.Dewey, and your family as well :)
“we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments. For this (keeping the commandments) is the (same as) love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory that overcometh the world (that we keep His commandments no matter circumstances), even our faith (fullness regardless circumstances). 1John 5:3-4
“For not the hearers of the Law are just before God, but the doers of the Law shall be justified.Rom 2:13
