What role do we play in the Salvation story?
What role do we play in the salvation story?
What part do we have in the Gospel?
While we may choose to readily accept Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf it’s so easy to lose perspective. Many spend a lifetime trying to earn back that which was given freely.
If you are given a gift, what is the best way to honor the giver?
Is it by graciously accepting or by immediately trying to find ways to pay it back?
We cheapen the gift and insult the giver by playing this game. Rather, let us choose to receive with no strings attached.
Let us choose this walk in faith as a response to Christ’s love rather than a self made way of trying to earn that which we could never possibly afford.

I am the moon.
I am not the Son.
I am only a reflection of the Son.
Without the Son I am dark.
Without the Son I have no light to give.
With the Son I shine brilliantly.
With the Son I shed light into the darkness.
With the Son I show the way to the weary traveler.
With the Son I remind those who grieve that they are not alone.
With the Son I bring hope into the land of shadows.
With the Son I remind those who tremble in fear that He is coming soon.
And yet I am the moon.
I am nothing without the Son.
I need Him.
I am dependent upon Him.
And so are you…
Shine on!
Are you a reflection of the Son?
“Wake up, sleeper,
rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you,” Ephesians 5:14.
