What NOT to do with your Dreams
~ Prophecy 101~
Do write down your dreams. Always ask God what He wants you to do with that dream?
Do not tell it to the church on Sunday morning unless God speaks to you first. I am about to tell you why!
When you first begin having dreams from God, it is so exciting that you just want everyone to know that “The God Of The Universe Is Speaking To Little Old Me!” I am a seer, so dreams are a big part of that seeing realm!
One of my first lessons in the prophetic was in dreams. God began to give me dream after dream. At first I didn’t know what was happening, but as was my custom when God began to show me something new 30 some years ago now. I went home and flipped open the bible and put my finger on a scripture. (I don’t recommend this forever) but God was trying to teach me.
It fell open to Job 33:14-18,
“For God may speak in one way, or in another,
Yet man does not perceive it.
In a dream, in a vision of the night,
When deep sleep falls upon men,
While slumbering on their beds,
Then He opens the ears of men,
And seals their instruction.
In order to turn man from his deed,
And conceal pride from man,
He keeps back his soul from the Pit,
And his life from perishing by the sword.”
I was stunned that God directly answered my question. I have always loved God’s workings in my life. I sometimes believe that He loves our excitement when He does something new. It is then that I saw Him like a Father looking at His children’s wide eyed wonder and enjoying our Oohs and Ahs!
You see, God does speak to you so that you may withdraw from your own purpose that might cause you to go another way! He can speak volumes in a dream, in just a few seconds, in what otherwise may take you a lifetime to figure out.
Anyway, to make my first point: Don’t tell your dreams to everyone until you have direction from the Lord!
Point in case: I had a dream about someone in authority once who was in adultery with other women. I had the symbolism of a bed and Him sitting on it. The dream was in a hotel. I was in the dream waving women away from the door that were trying to come in there. I, being the excited baby in the Lord that I was, got up and told the dream at church …..Wrong!
Right after church, I was called into the Pastor’s office to face the elders and even though they were very gentle, they told me that they knew of this situation and was dealing with it! One of them said “Jo, you just can’t tell every dream you have in church. Yep, that was me back then. I’ve come a long way baby! You see back then the prophetic was not widely accepted by everyone and it definitely was not taught on much. So what we learned was by trial and error and yes, I was that naive back then!
Anyway here is the deal. That dream was a dream for me to pray privately about until the Lord showed me #1 What it meant, and, #2 What my part was, other than praying in bringing the solution, if I were to do anything at all.
The reason I am bringing this to you, is that some are new in this area of dreams and need to hear that we all are learning. I realize many of you know all of this and that you have been taught by the best. I also have to say though that I get questions every day on this kind of stuff and many, many live in areas that they do not get teachings on, but the Lord said that I should tell some of these stories of how I had to learn the hard way over many years, so that it doesn’t take you as long and you can go forward faster.
Yes, now you know how zeal can get you called into the Pastor’s office after church! LOL! Never quit dreaming!

Thank you sooo much for being obiedient to the lord..I needed this..I am new to dreaming and was kind of unsure what to do with them and you are right the first instinct is to tell everyone. Now I know to pray first…God bless
